NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE CONDUCT OF THE METROBANK-MTAP-DEPED NCR MATH CHALLENGE 2018 DIVISION ELIMINATION SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE MANILA Venue: Manuel G. Araullo High School Ermita, Manila Date: January 19, 2018 Registration (6:00 – 8:00) Some of the contestants, together with their coaches from different schools in Manila came at the contest venue as early as 6:00 in the morning of January 19, 2018. NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE CONDUCT OF THE

METROBANK-MTAP-DEPED NCR MATH CHALLENGE 2018

DIVISION ELIMINATION SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE – MANILA

Venue: Manuel G. Araullo High School

Ermita, Manila

Date: January 19, 2018

Registration (6:00 – 8:00)

Some of the contestants, together with

their coaches from different schools in Manila

came at the contest venue as early as 6:00 in

the morning of January 19, 2018. Registration

started as early as the contestants’ arrival.

Contestants from public schools checked their

names on the posted lists and noted their room

assignments, while contestants from private

schools proceeded to the registration area.

Before the contestants went to their respective

room assignments, some had their own group

prayer, words of encouragement and reminders

from the coaches.

OPENING AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE CONTEST MATERIALS (7:20 – 7:40)

While the registration is

ongoing, the Technical Working

Group headed by Ms. Camilon, in the

presence of the ESMISS Supervisor, Dr.

Remylinda T. Soriano, opened the

contest materials, which include the

test questions and answer keys for the

different categories and levels.

As soon as the completeness of

the test materials was checked, the

materials have been distributed

immediately to the examiners and

proctors

TEST PROPER (8:00 – 10:00)

After checking the names of the

contestants, giving of instructions, and

distributing test questionnaires by the

examiners and proctors, the test proper

started. Contestants’ nervousness and

excited noise faded as they take the test.

The contestants were given exactly two hours to finish the test. Examiners and

proctors made sure that it was strictly observed.

CHECKING AND RECORDING OF SCORES (10:00 – 12:30)

As soon as all the test papers were retrieved, the Head Teachers and Master

Teachers gathered in checking the answers of the contestants. The tabulation of the

scores per category and level were done immediately.

Checking of completeness of

returned test materials was led by Ms.

Camilon. Answered test questionnaires were

kept in their respective level and category

envelopes, which ended the conduct of the

contest at exactly 12:30 PM.

Head Teachers and Master Teachers diligently checking the test papers of the contestants.

After the test, contestants reunited with their coaches. All excited to tell their coaches about their experiences.
