As the summer vacation is around the corner, we realize that you are

looking forward to sunny days and relaxation.

However, we also realize that students need to keep academic skills

fresh and we want you to sharpen your skills. Therefore, we have

created some exciting assignments for you to complete in the

summer break. We wish you happy vacations and happy learning!

Choose any 1 neighboring country of Pakistan, collect information and using the

Continent fact file:

Select any continent of your own choice and collect all the relevant information

and facts about the respective continent. You can also print some colorful

pictures of your continent’s famous landmarks, biggest city, river, famous crop

etc. Once, all the required information is collected, you can paste it in a

scrapbook, making different sections and headings according to the information.

Decorate it as beautiful as you can.

vacations.

Write the word ‘MATHEMATICS’ using line segments and observe the number

of right angles, number of angles more than a right angle and number of angles

less than a right angle.

Activity # 12 Make a double bar graph showing the high and & low temperatures for one full

week of the summer. Please use a ruler and two colors to distinguish the high

temperatures from the low temperatures.

Activity # 13 Find at least one example of each of the following shape in your house:

For example, a sheet of paper is an example of a rectangle,

a soda can is a cylinder,

a soccer ball is a sphere, etc

Use a ruler or a measuring tape to measure the objects’ dimensions in inches.

Then use the formulas below to find the area and volume of each object. You

can use paper and pencil to calculate the answers, or you may use a calculator.

Make a booklet of your calculations and bring back to school.
