The students of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

Department of S. B. Jain Institute of Management, Technology and Research celebrated the

International Yoga Day with great fervor on 21st of June 2018.Senior faculty Prof. Sarvesh

Biyani from Mechanical Department conducted the meditation sessions for the students and also

enlightened them with the benefits of yoga in daily life.

The celebration was initiated by the CEO of the trust, Prof. SanjeevAgrawal in the

presence of Dr. S. L. Badjate, Principal and Dr. Abhay Kasetwar, Head of the department . This

event helped the students to become more aware of their health, thoughts and emotions and learn

how to move through them without getting stuck.More than 90 students of second year have

attended this session.

The event was held under student’s forum “FEETA”. Prof. Nicky Bellani, Prof. Arpit

Yadav, Prof. Chetan Thote along with student volunteers coordinated the event.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication under FEETA forum organized

BLOOD DONATION & HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP on 28th

July,2018. Students from the

department took initiative for a social cause and help the people in need. The camp was

organized in co-ordination with GSK Blood Bank which saw a tremendous response from

students from not only the host department but from all over the college. There were a total of 75

donors who helped towards a social cause. The event serves to raise awareness of the need for

safe blood and blood products and to thank blood donors for their voluntary, life-saving gifts of

blood. The objective of the event was to create Awareness regarding Blood Donation and

Spreading Social Awarness.

Prof. Sanjeev Agrawal, CEO, Dr.S.L. Badjate, Principal & Dr. Abhay Kasetwar, HOD

were prominently present. All of them encouraged the students to organize such type of camps.

“Blood is meant to circulate. Pass it Around.” With this passion,It was heartening to see that __

numbers of students and staff members of different departments were donated the Blood. The

event was smoothly organized by Forum Incharge Prof.Nicky Balani & Prof. Amit Kale.

Objective of Event To promote interaction and bonding between seniors and

juniors and develop the leadership qualities of organizing

event.

A colorful fresher’s party was held at Gangakashi Hotel, Wardhman Nagar,

Nagpur on 11th

July,2018.The fresher’s party was organized under the auspicious of 3rd year

seniors of ETC department SBJITMR, that did the best to make the function great success. The

evening was a colorful occasion as fresher’s were dressed in their best attire.

The party began in the late evening at 6pm. Joy and happiness could be seen in the eyes of

students throughout the party. The party started with amazing and interesting activities, events

like paper dance, mannequin couple dancing, balloon balancing and many more .In the middle

of these amazing events the seniors have performed some special events from their side like

singing mash up songs and solo dance. The special rounds were kept to select Mr. and Ms.

Fresher, and many more titles.

The faculties were also invited and it was glad to see them enjoying the party .The seniors

felicitated the faculties which included Forum Incharge Prof. Nicky Balani and other faculties

Prof. Vijay Matta and Prof. Ayushi Jaiswal.

Lastly, the lucky 5 candidates were selected with different tags. The tag for Mr.fresher

was given to Shubham Jadhav and the tag for Ms.fresher was given to Kritika Ninawe . The

other tags like best attire female was given to Gauri Thote and best attire for male was given to

Jatin Amarnani, the best junior was given to Himanshu Suryawanshi.

The honor of Mr.fresher and Ms.fresher was rewarded by faculties of SBJITMR .The cake

ceremony was kept and everyone shared a healthy and happy moment .the event winded up by

DJ dance performance and delicious dinner .the function came to close at 11pm.

Objective of Event To test the physical abilities

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication under FEETA forum organized

SACRED GAMES on 6th

of Sept 2018. Students from the department and other colleges took

initiative to test their physical strength. There were 23 entries from college and 15 from other

colleges taking its total to 38.The game was a physical game in which each participant had to

complete 7 tasks that focused on different physical aspect and each participant were told to

complete the tasks in minimum time.

The HOD of Electronics & telecommunication Engineering Dr. Abhay Kasetwar, forum in

charge Prof. Nicky Balani, faculties Prof. Waseem Khanooni, Prof. Mohd. Waseem Akram, Prof.

Sagar Pradhan inaugurated the event. Prof. Mohammad Waseem Akram and Prof. Sagar Pradhan

played the event. The winner of Sacred Games was a boy named Taranjeet Singh from GNIT

college and he completed the whole task in 1 min 26 secs. This event also received 2nd

prize in

Non technical era from all over the events organized in the college.

Objective of Event To test the concentration and patience of the participants.

The biggest technical event arranged at the main entrance of 1st Year gained many

spectator . The name of the event was BUZZ WIRE organized by Department of Electronics and

Telecommunication under FEETA forum on 6th

Sept 2018.It was a technical as well as a fun

event for students. It was the outcome of another team of technical head , a table was decorated

and designed in such a way that it was really tough for the participants to concentrate and play

the game ,here many motors , horn, wires and a lot of things were used and it was a perfect

combination of electric and magnetic equipment’s .As it was arranged at main entrance it gained

a lot of eyes which made this event more successful.

There were 103 entries from college and 29 from other colleges. The winner of Buzz

Wire was Somnath Nishad from MBA Department of SBJITMR..Game was based such that

each participant had to cross the hurdle without touching the wire and at each touch the counter

increased by 1 and after 10 touches the participants would be disqualified. Students of the Forum

has really worked hard to design the BUZZ WIRE setup.

The HOD Dr. Abhay Kasetwar and forum in charge Prof. Nicky Balani came for the

inauguration of the event at 12 pm and event got started at 12:30 pm. Prof. Vijay Matta played

the event in the least time and the event got started. All the Faculties and students enjoyed this

technical event.

Objective of Event To test the technical knowledge regarding components of

electronics Engineering.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication under FEETA forum organized the

event named STATIC RUSH on 6th

September,2018. The event was a technical one but with a

fun. There were 53 entries from college and 13 from other colleges. The found its winner in a

girls team by the name Priya Likhar and Pratiksha Mohod from ETC Department.

The game consisted of a table with 15 cups at both ends and each cup had a component.

Each team had to pick a chit that consisted of a list of components and each team had to bounce

ping pong ball into the cups to retrieve the components and the team to do it first would win.

The HOD Dr. Abhay Kasetwar and forum in charge Prof. Nicky Balani came for the

inauguration of the event at 2 pm and event started at 2:30 pm with a huge response.

organized BENCH PRESS on 6th

Sept 2018.Students from all over the college saw this as a

opportunity to test their physical strength. BENCH PRESS ,A SPORT EVENT was arranged at

main entrance from 12.30p.m. It was a great event to show case power in front of a mob. All the

students enjoyed the event thoroughly was awarded with trophy . This event was managed and

coordinated by our event manager all the executive members helped and learned how to conduct

event and manage event.

Event gained a huge participation of 13 entries from college and 8 from other colleges

students .The winner of BENCH PRESS was Sahil Jaiswal from G.H. Raisoni College with is

peak bench presses of 60 reps.He was awarded with certificate and a medal. The crowd enjoyed

the event as there was a lot of hooting and cheers for the participants and motivated them.

Objective of Event To test the swimming skills and ability to work in a team.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication under FEETA forum organized

WATER POLO on 6th

September 2018. Teams from all over the college and Nagpur took part

in the competition to test their co-ordination and to know their competition. This was a team

event which consist of 7 members in a team. This was a fun Sports Event which includes

swimming and polo. There were 35 entries from college and 7 from other colleges.

All the teams were very well trained and disciplined and played an energetic game to lift up their

game. The winning team was from mechanical final year consisting of Mohd. Tabrez Sheikh ,

ShekharYadav, ShobitPise, Saurabh murkute, Sumit Sorte, Tanmay Lanjewar and Shravan

Burde.
