Reception We all tried to copy a sentence into our writing books.

We made a human number line from 0-30.

Yesterday we did a half mile walk around the field, This was 2 laps.

Year 1 This week, we have been practising for our worship on Friday and we are very excited to show you. We have been learning to read and spell our tricky words.

Year 2 Seydo and Julia brought in bread which they made at home. It was yummy! Dave from the kitchen has been in to see (and sample) our baking and we are about to start making the sandwich choices ready to have for our school dinners.

Year 3 We finally finished our Guide Dog stories about what it must be like to be a Guide Dog. We are looking forward to meeting a real guide dog soon.

In Maths, we have been learning about column method and how to apply it.

Year 4 This week we have been doing 4 digit + 4 digits in Maths. We have also been writing fact files about ourselves and our town. Miss Jackson is going to take them to South Africa and share them with the local school children.

Year 5 In year 5 we have been doing some tests this week.

In English, we have been writing about WW2.

In Maths, we have been learning about line graphs, it has been fun. We are looking forward to our Evacuation day tomorrow and will tell you all about it next week.

Year 6 This week, Year 6 have started to build their longship in DT using cardboard strips. They will now start their paper mache to make it sturdy. In writing, they have began to publish their work using the Viking runes (the Viking alphabet). This idea was inspired by Max’s homework. In maths, we are consolidating reasoning and learning how to answer tricky questions.

Below are some photos of our Fiver Fest trip last week to town.

Kitchen staff needed…. ‘Colourful Catering’ run by Dave and Alex our school chefs are looking to recruit two new members of staff. These applicants don’t need to be chefs but must have an interest in food and want to learn more.

The second position is for 2-2.5 hours a day Monday to Friday. The days could be 5 a week or 3 a week depending on our rota. Pay will be £8.21 per hour and again a driving licence is essential.

If you are interested in either of these positions please pop in and see Cat in the office and she will forward your details onto ‘Colourful Catering’. Many thanks.
