CLASS NEWS

Reception Class This week is Science Week. We have been learning all about poo! We now know all about our digestive system and how our bodies turn food into poo. Our artist of the week is Christopher Ofili. He is famous for using elephant dung in his paintings. We tried painting using paint and mud. It was fun! Y1 Class This week we have learned all about germs for Science Week. We found out how they spread, what they look like and how to get rid of them. We mixed paint in a spray bottle to make snot on the paper to show how germs pread when we sneeze. It was fun and messy! We have written a booklet about Spring, Summer & Autumn. Next week we will be learning about Winter. By Skye Paris & Harry Hudd. Y2 Class Some of us made pizzas with the Chefs. By Carly. Milly’s Dad’s fire engine came for a visit. He showed us the water tank and inside the fire engine. By Milly. Y3 Class We have planned our explorer stories and had a whole day doing Science yesterday—we made things like gliders and planes and experimented with them. By Callum. Y4 Class This week we have been reading about climate change in English and in Maths we have been doing times tables. On Wednesday Grace, Thomas, Effie, Jakub, Ruth & Mason went to a Maths Challenge Day at Gastrells School. By Grace. Y5 Class In PE, we have been focusing on three main event in Athletics - Sprinting, Jumping & Throwing. In Literacy, we have been finishing our Edward John Smith biographies and have started writing our descriptions. In Science, we have been studying non-solubles. By Lewis Francis-Webb & Joe Skidmore. Y6 Class There was an important election in school last Thursday. The Star Party were elected. Our day of fun will take place on Monday 26th June. We are hoping for good weather for the waterfight. Children who want to participate will need to bring dry clothes to change into afterwards. We have also planned movies, fun lessons and a cake sale. We would be grateful if you could bring in cakes and also money to spend at the cake sale. We are looking forward to an enjoyable day. By the Star Party.
