Soccer Knockout On Monday 1st April, the Boys Soccer team competed in Round 1 in the Knock-out competition against Tinonee. The Nabiac boys displayed a high level of skill and retained possession for most of the game. They were able to play most of the game in the opposition’s half. The final result was a convincing 4- 1 victory to Nabiac. The boys now progress to Round 2, which will be against either Tuncurry or Forster (depending on the result of their game). Thanks to the parents and family members that helped transport the players to the game and for encouraging the boys from the sideline. Thanks to Andy Harper for coaching the team and refining the boys' skills and teaching them how to play tactically. Looking forward to our next game! Mr Dawson Easter Parade This year the Easter Hat Parade will be held on the last day of term, Friday 12th April at 1:45pm. Kinder to Year 2 are encouraged to make an Easter Hat - there are no categories to choose from it is ‘Open’. Students who wish to participate make their hat at home and bring it in on the morning of the parade. The hats are not judged. Students in Years 3 – 6 may make an egg character at home which they can bring in on the morning. This is not compulsory; alternatively, they may bring in an Easter drawing or colouring-in which they may walk around with during the parade. All students will march in classes to display their hat/egg character/art piece. A ‘lucky’ name will be drawn from each class participating students. P&C Easter Raffle If you have not already done so, and would like to donate to our Easter raffle, Wednesday is the very last day to bring in your Easter egg or basket. Raffle tickets and money must also be returned by Wednesday to be included in the raffle. The raffle will be drawn on the morning of Wednesday 10th and winners will be announced during the parade. We thank you for your support. ANZAC Dawn and Morning Service Dawn Service ANZAC day this year falls during the holidays (25th April). The NPS Staff, P&C and school leaders will be running the Dawn Service in conjunction with the local RSL Sub-branch. The Dawn Service commences at 6.00am, however the leaders should be there at 5.40am to prepare for a 6am start. All members of the community are welcome to attend. If anyone has flowers they would like to donate for people to lay on the War Memorial they can bring them to the service. The leaders will lay a wreath on behalf of the school.

Morning ANZAC Service If students and parents would like to participate in the morning service, we ask children to be out the front of the school at 10.30am in school uniform to march to the War Memorial. A wreath will be placed at the War Memorial on behalf of our students. The choir will perform at the service.

Life Education The Life Education mobile classroom will be visiting our school in Weeks 1 and 2, Term 2. Life Education programs are delivered by a trained Life Education Educator and their trusty side-kick Harold. This year we have chosen modules that help students learn how to build positive relationships and make positive choices. The cost of this program is $10.00 per child, Permission notes were sent home last week. Please return the permission notes and money by Wednesday 1st May 2019 (Week 1). Below is the proposed schedule (subject to change), and name of the module for each class.
