SCOUTS AND GUIDES ACTIVITES

ACADEMIC YEAR 2017 – 2018

The Detail of Scouts and Guides activities in an academic year 2017-18

1 Cro-council : on 12-8-2017 Subash Chandra Bose Rover unit and Jhansirani

Ranger units cro-council meeting was held inour college.The meeting aimed at

the discussion of the activities and programs to be conducted in that particular

academic year.

2 Pathway Jamming training : Pathway Jamming training was conducted on 14-

8-2017.In that program 28 Rovers and Rangers participated and got the

training

3 Indepence Day Celebration : 71st Independence Day was celebrated in our

college on 15-8-2017.In that celebration 17 Rovers and 11 Rangers

participated. The respected M L A of Tiptur led the flag raising.The principal

,the staff presented in the program.The rovers and rangers had done pathway

jamming and flag honoring activities and participated in Taluk administration

program.

4 Gandhi Jayanthi and Lal Bahadur Shashtri’s Birth day : The program of

celebration of the birth days of Mahathma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shasthri.

Planting program : Gandhi Jayanthi and the birthday of Lal Bahadur

Shastri were celebrated in our college on 2-10-2017 .In the memory of

the day,many programs were held along with many activities.First

activity was the cleaning of college campus by the students.There were

51 rovers , rangers and NSS students who visited Ishnuru village of Tiptur

Taluk.The village’s Primary school campus was cleaned ,plants, trees

were watered by the activists.There were 50 different tyoes of saplings

planted in the Primary school campus and village Panchath office

campus.

Later the PDO Shivaraj explaned the students about the benefits of

planting village panchayath officer Nagaraj ,senior lecturer Ramchandra,

the president of parent’s association Billemane Chandra Shekkhar

,village panchayth member Kittanan,president of Grampanchayath

Girish and the village leaders participated and explained the students

about the biographies of Mahathma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shasthri.

Sarojamma,the head of the Primary Health center Nanavina kere

,conducted a separate gathering of our college to give appropriate

information relating their health and hygine.

with the explain the information of loan facilities,saving

money.Rajshekhar , the lecturer in the Girls P U College Tiptur

,participated in planting and encouraged the spirit of studdents.

Vivek spoke and gave information on the topics like banking,linking

adhar,opening a bank account,social benefits scheme,pradan manthri

jeevan joshi bhima scheme, P M secure scheme.

5 Bronze Medal Examination Camp : From 7-10-2017 to 9-10-2017 the Bharath

scouts and guides district committee Tumkur organized Bronze Medal

Examination Camp in Elementary School.In the camp our students,13 rovers

and 11 rangers total 24 students participated and had got the certificate.

6 Conscious Awareness Sapthaha : The Conscious Awareness Sapthaha was

organized in our college with the association of the State Bank of India.In this

program the Essay Wrinig compiptition was held on the topics-‘ My aim is to

make India Corruption free nation ‘.In this competition scouts and guides,rover

and ranger students and many students of the college participated.After the

competition the winners of 1st,2nd and 3rd prize were given by the S B I

bank.The honorable Principal Prof.K M Rajanna held the Presidency of the

function.The officials,Tarakeshvar,Rahul,college prof.Honnanjanaiah, rover

leader Dr Nagendrappa were there.

7 ‘Plastic Free India’ program : In the association of Subash Chandra Bose

Rover unit and Jhansirani Lakshami Bai units organized an awareness program

on ‘Plastic free India’ or ‘Prevention of Plastic usage’ in this program the

students create the college compass first and the honorable Principal

prof.Rajanna gave a green signal.The students went to Jatha of plastic

awareness by urging the announcements on the hazards of using plastic and

saving environment plastic,they went street to street of Tiptur to give

information to the public.Later they arranged a function in the college in which

the Principal and Dr Honanjannaiah explained the benefits of plastic free

system.In the Jatha function rover-leader Dr Nagendrappa ,ranger leader Dr

Mamtha,prof.Ashwini,prof.Subadramma,Dr Dayanand,Dr Venkatesh and 60

rover and ranger students participated.

8 Pathway Jamming training : In an occation of Republic Day Celebration in the

college Pathway Jamming training was given to the rovers and the rangers on

dates 23 ,24 ,25, of January 2018 .In that training 25 rovers and the rangers

participated and cleaned the college campus.

9 Republic Day Celebration : Republic Day Celebration was held in our college

on 26-1-2018 in which scouts and guides students participated in pathway

jamming and flag honoring.The Prinicipal,lecturers, NSS, NCC Students and

Rovers and Rangers’ leaders participated.Shree Shadakshari the MLA of

Tiptur,raised the flag and spoke the importance of freedom and republic

celebration.Prof.Rajanna spoke about the freedom fighters.

10 Service program : In : In the association of Subash Chandra Bose Rover unit

and Jhansirani Lakshami Bai units organized cleaning program in our college

on 3-2-2018.Gandhi park was cleaned by the students.They cleaned the

surrounding of the trees,watered them.25 rovers and rover leader participated

in those activities.

11 Mahamasthabbhisheka of Shravana Belagola : Mahamasthabbhisheka was

led in Shravana Belagola from 8-2-2018 to 12-2-2018 in which the 32 students

of Subash Chandra Bose Rover unit and Jhansirani Lakshami Bai unit of our

college participated actively and rendered their service to the public and had

received the certificate.

12 Founder Day Celebration : In coordination of Subhash Chanrabose Rovers

unit and Jhansi Rani Laxmibai Rangers units organized the birth anniversary

celebration of Bedan Powel on 22-2-2018 in the college.The honorable

Principal of our college Prof.Rajanna held the Presidency of the function.As a

chief guest we had Smt Mangalagowri B E O and T C Gangadhar,Taluk scout

Institution.

In that function Kab-Bul-Bul Scouts and Guides students of Stella Maris

School,scouts and guides of Kalapathru Central School,rover and rangers of

Kalpathru College presented in the function .There are many celebration were

taken place during this day.

10 AM flag raising ,

At 10:20 inauguration ,

Guest speech at 11:30,

Jatha at 1:30

Adventurous activities at 2:30

Fire extinction exhibition at 2:50.

National anthem was recited.

Like these many activities wwre taken place in that function.A special

dance performance was given by the students of Stella Maris.The Guests

gave their good words to the gathering.There were 200 students of

differentn schools and college paeticipated.

13 Mega Health check up camp : The Red cross unit of the college

organized a Mega Health check up camp in the college in the memory of

ten years celebration on 21-3-2018 .In that camp the students of our

college and the public got the health check up.In this camp 12 rangers

and 8 rovers participated and rendered their service.
