3/13
A-a,emi- Integrit9:3onesty in completing assignments is essential to the mission of the
6niversity and to the development of the personal integrity of students. -n submitting graded
assignments, students affirm that they have neither given nor received unauthorized assistance, and that they have abided by all other provisions of the Code of Conduct in the T26 Student
3andboo5. Cheating, plagiarism, fabrication or other 5inds of academic dishonesty ill not be
tolerated and ill result in appropriate sanctions that may include failing an assignment, failingthe class, or being suspended or e8pelled. Suspected cases in this course may be reported to
Student Life. The specific disciplinary process for academic dishonesty is found in the T26
Student 3andboo5. The T26 library lin5, 0voiding lagiarism,D ill aid students incompleting their assignments ith integrity.
-n an effort to ensure the integrity of the academic process, Te8as 2omanEs 6niversity
vigorously affirms the importance of academic honesty as defined by the Student 3andboo5.
Therefore, in an effort to detect and prevent plagiarism, faculty members at Te8as 2omanEs6niversity may no use a tool called Turnitin to compare a studentEs or5 ith multiple sources.
-t then reports a percentage of similarity and provides lin5s to those specific sources. The tool
itself does not determine hether or not a paper has been plagiarized. -nstead, that 9udgmentmust be made by the individual faculty member.
Some of the reAuired assignments in this course may be chec5ed for plagiarism using
Turnitin.com.
