For customers needing up to 211,800 cfh-ntp of nitro-gen, the ideal supply is Praxair’s N180. The N180 is acryogenic nitrogen plant that consists of a Warm Endwhich includes the air compressor package, electricalequipment and switching valves, and a Cold Endwhich includes the distillation column, primary heatexchanger, and main condenser. The system alsocomes with a liquid nitrogen Backup System forultimate reliability.

The N180 has a turbine which eliminates the liquidassist requirement and enables the plant to producesmall amounts of liquid nitrogen .

The N180 is designed to operate without a nitrogencompressor for pressures up to 85 psig and with a

nitrogen compressor for pressures above 85 psig. Thisallows the N180 to have the lowest possible unitpower. Plant capacity varies with operating pressure.
