LOGISTICSVENUE - HOFBURG CONGRESS CENTER
The Event will take place at the OSCE premises in the Hofburg Congress Center,
1010 Vienna, Heldenplatz. Once in the city centre, the Hofburg premises can be
reached by metro lines of U3 and U4 (Volkstheater or Herrengasse, see the yellow
markers).
The subway line U3 (on subway maps the U3 is the orange line) connects the
station of the public train and City Airport Train (CAT) with the city centre, and
has two stops close to the Hofburg from either side (the aforementioned metro
stations). Both stations are within 5 minutes of a walking distance from the
conference centre.

LOGISTICSHOW TO GET THERE?
Vienna International Airport is located about 12 miles (19 km) east of the heart of
Austria’s capital. There are multiple ways to find your way to city centre Vienna, you
can find some of them listed below:
The City Airport Train (CAT) offers a direct express link between the airport and the city
centre. Once you come through the customs, follow the green CAT signs and you will
soon be on your way. Tickets can be bought from vending machines, the counter in the
baggage claim hall, or internet.
AIRPORT (SCHWECHAT) - VIENNA CITY CENTRE
TRAIN
Where: Leaves from the ground floor
Schedule: Every 30 minutes, approximately 16 mins to the city centre
Price: EUR 19,00 / Adult, cash/cards accepted
Direction: Wien Mitte-Landstraße Bahnhof
The Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) offers the local budgetary option to reach city
centre of Vienna (via S7 bahn). Once you come through the customs, follow the signs for
the train, and head to the ground floor of the airport. Tickets can be bought from
machines on the ground floor or via internet.

Schedule: 18 and 48 minutes past the hour, approximately 35 mins
Price: EUR 4,00 / Adult, cash/cards accepted
Direction: Floridsdorf, step out at centre (Wien Mitte-Landstraße Bahnhof)
TAXITaxi services take you from Flughafen Wien to the city centre (Hofburg) in approx. 30
minutes, and cost normally between 35 – 40 euros. While more and more taxis do accept
cards, it is still advisable to carry enough cash to pay for the fare.

The conference registration takes place in the aforementioned location on Monday, 9th
September 2019 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM. Access to the conference venue will be granted only
to duly registered participants and upon presentation of a valid photo identity document.
Badges may be obtained at the registration desk located in a temporary facility, clearly
marked with OSCE logo, next to the main entrance.
Please note that access to the OSCE premises is permitted only on presentation of
a photo ID card (passport, national ID card or driver’s license) in accordance with
the registration modalities outlined above.
Prior to the beginning of the event or during the comfort breaks tea/coffee/snacks
can be bought at the cafeteria on 2nd and 5th floor. It is advisable to have some
cash in EUR. An ATM is available on the 2nd floor, as well as the OSCE small
souvenir shop.
We encourage you to take your mobile devices that can be connected to the OSCE
WiFI network to enable interactive participation in the sessions.
