LINEAR VS. NONLINEAR NAVIGATION

Most PowerPoint presentations are linear presentations in that they often go from Slide 1 to Slide 2, etc.

Nonlinear navigation gives you the ability to go back and further from slides that are not in sequence.

CREATING A HYPERLINK

1. Highlight text to be hyperlinked2. Press Command Key and “K” and the “Insert

Hyperlink” box will appear3. When you are at the Document section, you will

want to “anchor” your text to a certain location within the presentation

4. You can pick the specific slide that you want to hyperlink to by choosing the slide’s title.

5. Once you select the specific title, press “OK”

ACTION BUTTON

1. Go to the slide where the Action Button is wanted

2. Go to the Toolbar, press on Shapes, and go to Action Buttons

3. Press on the desired action button (e.g. Home, Previous Slide, Next Slide, First Slide, and Last Slide).

FUN APPLICATIONS
