Along with the efficient & friendly volunteers comes a heaping plate of pasta, choice of meat/eggplant, salad & dessert for a reasonable price! What a great meal! You can be proud to bring your friends & family! For those Friday volunteers, watch for your invitation to the 7th Annual Snowbird Appreciation dinner to be held Nov. 3rd. The Snowbirds will be back soon & in time to participate in the many exciting activities in the works for this season. Columbus Day Dinner Dance 10/5 kicks off a busy October so we hope to see you there. Octoberfest Birthday, Adults & Kids Halloween Parties are always great affairs so try to attend. The Committee will present a slate of candidates for the 2014 elections at the Executive Board meeting on Oct.31st, then to the membership at the General Meeting on Nov 7th, at which time nominations from the floor will also be accepted. PIG ROAST once again was a smashing success with 100 people enjoying a fabulous feast! As soon as the sun came up, preparations began! The talented chefs & helpers included: Justin, Ben, Howie, Karl W, Marino, Bruce, Lulu, Mary, Linda P, Betty Lou, Emma, Karl, Lou, Barbara M, Kathy C & Linda B. The Terzi’s, Justin & Barbara, chaired this popular event & want to thank all of their able helpers! As you can see it takes many willing helpers but also excellent “organizers” to make it a success! Mille Grazie to Justin & Barbara! You outdid yourselves & we appreciated it! SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION 9/15/13 It was quite a scramble to feed 81 hungry people without the promised pizza! “Technical difficulties” made it necessary to come up with a new menu at the last minute! The able hosts of the day did it! They were Lou Piazza, Justin Terzi, Joe Carbone, John Antico, Cake by Rosemary Francavilla, Bar– Dick Cattelona & Door – Linda Bastian. Those having birthdays were Thomas Marino, Maria Tims, Lou Piazza, Vito Mazzilli, Carole Schmitz, Ron DeBacco & Sandy Vecchione. Celebrating Anniversaries were Dennis & Barbara Bettinger, Justin & Barbara Terzi, Joe & Kathy Carbone, Bruce & Linda Bastian & Dom & Karen Gatti. Years ranged from 51 to 6! New member welcomed was Johanna Giordano. Mark your calendars for Sun. Oct. 13th at 4pm for the next one! An Octoberfest theme featuring Traude Wilson’s special potato salad! Come & enjoy an afternoon of fun, food & friends.
