Everyone is welcome to attend our next meeting on next Monday, September 17 at 6:30 pm. On June 27, we will be saying a farewell to our grade 8 students as they take the next steps of their educational journey and move onto high school. Grade 7’s will be stepping into the role of leaders at our school. The evening will begin with a family barbeque, followed by an awards ceremony recognizing the efforts of all our students in grade 7 and 8. June 28- Celebration of Learning Play Day- Report Cards sent home-last day

Greetings Parents,

On behalf of myself, Jae LeClerc (VP) and Amber Prior (VP), and the entire Aspen Grove School staff, we are happy to share with you

the following information as we move into June. We are very busy wrapping up a successful 2017-2018 school year and have already

started preparing for next year. Our planning, priorities, and our culture continuously brings to life our school mission statement:

“striving for excellence in education and nurturing responsible, caring citizens.”

___________________________

Mrs. LeClerc has been offered and has accepted a great opportunity as Vice Principal of Avondale School for 2018-2019. After having

been a Vice Principal at Aspen Grove School for the past 5 years, Jae is returning to Avondale School where she had 11 years of

experience as a classroom teacher and as a Reading Recovery teacher. While we are sad to see Mrs. LeClerc leave our school, we are

happy for her and wish her all the best in her new assignment. Mrs. LeClerc has done many wonderful things at our school and was

instrumental in organizing and providing numerous opportunities for students to be engaged as learners. She is an advocate for

students and strives to have all students be active participants in a range of activities. Her contributions towards our parent

engagement evenings, connections with First Nations, Metis, and Inuit, supports offered for literacy interventions and student

success, and efforts towards student extra-curricular opportunities needs to be commended. We need to acknowledge her vast

contributions to our school. Mrs. LeClerc always wants the best for all students and wants them to strive for excellence and become

responsible, caring citizens. From all of us at Aspen Grove, THANK YOU Mrs. LeClerc for everything you have done to make Aspen

Grove a special and great school.

We sincerely thank Mrs. LeClerc for her dedication and commitment to Aspen Grove School over the years and wish her well in her

return to Avondale as Vice Principal. Mrs. LeClerc, we wish you all the best and keep in touch!

We also we share the following adjustments moving towards the 2018-2019 school year:

Thank you to for sponsoring this well attended event. We certainly appreciate the community support. What a great way to start the last month of the school year. As you can see, there were smiles all around!

IMPORTANT Reminder to all students: All library books need to be returned to the library. Any text books that may still be at home need to be returned as well so that we can accurately account for our books. Thank you to those of you who have already returned library books and texts.
