ZEUS: POWERS/WEAKNESSES

Zeus is basically the supreme ruler, which meant his power was greater than any of the other divinities. He held the thunderbolt and was in control of the weather. (Most commonly called the “Lord of the Sky”)Zeus is a combination of many gods to make him everything the Greeks would like in a god.he falls in love very easily, creating scandals throughout Earth and the Heavens and making Hera jealous.

To the Greeks, Zeus was a symbol of an almighty being or a creator. He contributed to the creation of women, men and all evils and goodwill. He was sort of like a president, if you will, running the “country” from the Heavens aka his “office”Allusion: The Pope

THE MUSES: LINEAGEThe Muses were Zeus’ 9 daughters from Mnemosyne. Their names are Clio, Urania, Melpomene, Thalia, Terpsichore, Calliope, Erato, Polyhymnia and Euterpe.They bore no childrenThe had 5 mountains which were Helicon, Pierus, Pieria, Parnassus & Olympus, but they grew up on Parnassus.

They were known as the gift to men because when they sang, they made men forget about their troubles.They were able to tell lies and the truth believably.They cared only for art and science, which could be considered as a weakness.they have no known weaknesses.
