Lexile Requirements/MyOn ExpectationsRULES OF PLAY
PLC – Wednesday (9/30/15)
- Lexile Benchmark Assessments are generated every two weeks if 3 hours are read or 5 books are completed.
- Books read independently (not assigned for a class) during that time should be within 100 points of the student’s current Lexile Level (Mrs. Cox can help you run a report that shows
this -or- students can access “Profile” tab to gain this information).
- Lexile Assessments are very important – please make sure students take their time, complete the entire assessment, and do their absolute best (if they do not take the test
seriously or exit out of the test – it will reflect negatively on their Lexile Score).
- Homeroom teachers will need to complete data analysis weekly/monthly to ensure reading is within Lexile Range and Assessments are being generated and taken in a timely manner
(Mrs. Cox can help you run these reports if needed).
- All teachers will be complete PLC MyOn Task: Select one MyOn book to use as your Daily Launcher on your OLC (remember there are projects/assignments/tools that can be used so that you do not have to create from scratch) – this will be shared with your grade level at an
upcoming PLC.
