description
A 1921 Manx play by Cushag (Josephine Kermode) based around the words of the Isle of Man's traditionally best-known song. The starting point of the play is the sorrow of a daughter over her miserly father, who got his store of wealth from “in the Curragh, deep, deep enough,” but the ending is a wonderul life-confirming happy ending.
