Shout With Joy (8:30) Mark Patterson
Shout with joy to God all the earth; sing the glory of God’s name.
Shout with joy to God all the earth.
Come join the song, sing loud and strong,
lift up your voice with glorious praise!
Come see the wonders God has made: the beauty of creation.
Such strength and splendor here displayed:
the moon and stars, the sky and sea, the hills that rise in majesty;
how awesome are these things! How marvelous God’s mighty deeds!
Wenn wir in höchsten Nöten sein (9:45, 11:00)
[When we in deepest distress and grief]
Johann Sebastian Bach
Call to Worship
Come and see what God has done.
God is awesome in God’s deeds.
God turned the sea into dry land.
God’s people passed through the river on foot.
Make a joyful noise to God all the earth.
Sing the glory of God’s name.
Opening Hymn No. 103
Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise ST. DENIO
The Creed No. 885 A Modern Affirmation We believe in God the Father,
infinite in wisdom, power and love,
whose mercy is over all his works,
and whose will is ever directed to his children’s good.
We believe in Jesus Christ,
Son of God and Son of man,
the gift of the Father’s unfailing grace,
the ground of our hope,
and the promise of our deliverance from sin and death.
We believe in the Holy Spirit
as the divine presence in our lives,
whereby we are kept in perpetual remembrance
of the truth of Christ,
and find strength and help in time of need.
Prayer of Confession
God of mercy and grace,
We are meant to praise you and give thanks to you always.
We confess that we do not live out of constant gratitude.
We harbor resentment for what we lack.
We blame you; we blame others.
Heal and restore us so that we may return to you with a right spirit.
Help us to live holy and joyful lives.
We pray in Christ’s name. Amen.
Words of Assurance
…In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
Glory to God. Amen.
The Sacrament of Holy Baptism (11:00)
Congregational Response (11:00) Child of Blessing, Child of Promise STUTTGART
Child of blessing, child of promise,
baptized with the Spirit’s sign;
with this water God has sealed you
unto love and grace divine.
Child of God your loving parent,
learn to know whose child you are.
Grow to laugh and sing and worship,
trust and love God more than all.
We believe that this faith should manifest itself
in the service of love
as set forth in the example of our blessed Lord,
to the end
that the kingdom of God may come upon the earth. Amen.
Gloria Patri No. 71 GREATOREX
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen. Amen.
WE HEAR AND RESPOND TO THE WORD

Reader: This is the Word of God for the people of God.

People: Hear our prayer.
The Lord’s Prayer
Offertory
God, Who Touches Earth with Beauty (8:30) Helen Kemp
God, who touches earth with beauty, make me lovely too.
With thy spirit recreate me, make my heart anew.
Allelu! Gloria! Jubilate Deo! (Rejoice in God!)
Like the springs and running waters, make me crystal pure.
Like thy rocks of towering grandeur, make me strong and sure.
Like the dancing waves in sunlight, make me glad and free.
Like the straightness of the pine trees, let me upright be.
God, who touches earth with beauty, make me lovely too.
Keep me ever, by your spirit, pure and strong and true.
In All Things God Works For Our Good (9:45, 11:00) Lloyd Larson
And this we know, in the journey of life, whether green, rolling hills,
or the deserts bare and dry, in all things God works for our good,
for we who love the Lord.
In the lush verdant valleys where we walk sure and strong, or the rugged terrain
unsafe and long; God has promised His help: “fear not, I will guide you. Take
my hand for my promises are true.”
In the seasons of life, times of joy or despair, victory and defeat;
“I know the plans I have for you,” says your God.
“Plans to prosper you, not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future! Believe in me! Trust in me!
For I am your God!”
Doxology LASST UNS ERFREUEN
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below; Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Prayer of Dedication
WE GO OUT TO SERVE
Closing Hymn No. 581
Lord, Whose Love Through Humble Service BEACH SPRING
Benediction
Benediction Response

Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim
till all the world adore His sacred name.
Come, Christians, follow this triumphant sign.
The hosts of God in unity combine.
Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim
