• Originally from Central Asia (Russia).• Invade Greek mainland around 2000
B.C.E.• First Greek Kings• Conquer the majority of the
Peloponnesian Peninsula with lots of grasslands.

III. Learning the Ropes• By 1800 B.C.E. Mycenaeans begin to
trade with Minoans when the Minoans began to visit from Crete.
• Copied Minoan design for ships, swords, shields, and culture (example – Mother Earth)!
• Learn to navigate using the sun and stars.
