1 Background
MADI-B is the platform you will use to log into Mobius.
MyAlberta Digital ID for Business (MADI-B) is the Government of Alberta’s external partner identity and access management service and is used to authenticate external users of Government of Alberta online services.
In order to make use of MADI-B-protected services, an external user must first register a MADI-B account, if they do not already have one. After registering a MADI-B account, the external user will then need to complete a one-time enrollment process in order to identify themselves to Mobius.
MADI-B registration and enrollment are detailed in the following sections.

2 Registration
Registration is the process of creating an account in MADI-B. When an external user attempts to sign in to a Government of Alberta service protected by MADI-B, such as the Mobius application, they are presented with the MADI-B sign in page. If the external user already has a MADI-B account, they may sign in by entering their username and password. If they do not have a MADI-B account then they must select “Sign Up” to register.
There are three mandatory steps in the MADI-B account registration process: 1. Create Account 2. Confirm Email 3. Confirm Registration
2.1 Create Account
1. Open your browser and enter the following URL into the Address line: https://mobius-external.alberta.ca/Curam
2. The first step in registering a MADI-B account is to click Sign Up.
3. There are five sections to complete: i. Business Name and Physical Address. The user must provide the required
information in the highlighted fields:

ii. Business Number and Details: This section is optional:
iii. Business Mailing Address. The user must provide the required information in the highlighted fields. Note: The mailing address can be set to the physical address if the box beside the mailing address country is checked to indicate that it is the same as the physical address:

iv. Business Administrator Information. The user must provide their user name, password and work email address. Please note the username and email address must be unique in MADI-B. You cannot reuse the same email address for more than one account.
v. Personal Information. The user must provide the required information in the highlighted fields. You must agree to the Personal and Privacy Information Consent Terms and then must select “Submit” to create the account:

4. Click Submit.
2.2 Confirm Email
Once the request to create the MADI-B account has been submitted, the user is asked to check for a confirmation email from MADI-B:

2.3 Confirm Registration
1. Click on the Complete Registration link:
2. Enter your MADI-B password to confirm registration and complete the creation of the MADI-B account (Note: If you end up on the Manage Business Details page, Select ‘Log Out’ on the top right hand corner and close the internet browser. Open a new browser and log in again):

3. Once registration has been confirmed, a “Registration Completed” page is displayed and the user must select “Continue”:
4. The user is then re-directed back to the MADI-B website and are required to enter their new MADI-B credentials (i.e. username and password) one additional time:

3 Online Services Enrolment
Once an external user has successfully registered a MADI-B account and signed in to the website with their MADI-B credentials for the first time, they are presented with the Online Services Enrolment page in order to identify themselves and gain access to Mobius:
The first name, last name and email address fields are defaulted to the values from when the external user completed the registration. Your name must match what was entered on the Mobius ID application form that was submitted. If it does not match what is on record at Mobius,

it may be changed on this page. Once the first name, last name and email address have been adjusted, as needed, the user must complete the following steps in order to enrol:
1. Enter the public id that was provided in the email sent from Mobius ID’s and then select the “Request PIN” link:
2. The user must check their email to obtain the PIN:
3. Copy and paste the PIN from the email on to the Enrolment page and select “Enrol”:

4. The user will see a disclaimer. Once you click accept, the user is taken to the Mobius home page:

4 Account Maintenance
The following sections detail how an external user may:
• Retrieve their MADI-B user name • Reset their password • Manage their account in general
4.1 Forgot User Name
If an external user cannot remember their MADI-B User Name, they can have it emailed to them. On the MADI-B sign in page, select the “Forgot?” link beside the User Name field:
This will display the “Forgot Business User Name” page. Enter the email address that was registered with the MADI-B account, complete the reCAPTCHA and select “Submit”:

The external user is directed to check their email where their MADI-B user name is provided:

4.2 Forgot Password
1. If an external user cannot remember their MADI-B Password, they can reset it. On the MADI-B sign in page, select the “Forgot?” link beside the Password field:

2. This will display the “Reset My Business Password” page. Enter the email address that was registered with the MADI-B account, complete the reCAPTCHA and select “Submit”:

4. In the email, click on the ‘reset password’ link and enter their new MADI-B password and select “Submit”.

4.3 Manage Account
If an external user wishes to change their:
• MADI-B user name • Password • Other demographic details about their account,

3. “Manage My Business” page is then presented where the external user may update the demographic details about their business:

4. Select the “Manage My Account” link at the top of the page 5. “Update User Details” – to update personal information and email address.
Finally, selecting “Update your User Name or Password” will allow the external user to update their User Name and Password via the “Credentials Management” page:
