After each question there is a box for additional comments. If you any question is marked as “Poor” or “Needs Improvement” than the comments section must be filled out with an explanation. In all other situations, it is strongly recommended to fill out the comments section. For the first month’s student report, #5 “Student’s language adjustment” should always be marked as “Satisfactory” because it was good enough to make the program. They can be evaluated for other ratings from their second contact.
For questions about school, if they haven’t started yet choose “Satisfactory” and make a comment like “School hasn't started yet” or “Only in school one week”.When you are done with all questions and comments, click on “Save and View”. If you hit “Cancel & Return to Previous Report”, the contact report is lost and the requirement is not met.

After you have reviewed your entries, click on the “Return to Prior Page” button to return to the list of reports, or click “Change Answers” to do just that. “Once Return to Prior Page” has been selected, you will no longer be able to access and edit the contact report.

SEE Visits

Required 2nd Visits • When a student moves into their new host family
home, the visit must be done in the first – 30 days if it is an Arrival or Temporary
placement– 60 days if it is a Permanent placement
• Must be done by a second, unbiased volunteer• SEE Visit need to be documented via My.YFU

Combining the SEE with Monthly Contact
• This visit can be done at the same time as a visit which is your monthly contact BUT the person who did the original HF interview is not eligible to do the SEE visit
• The same person can fill in the SEE report and the monthly contact reports IF s/he is an eligible SEE reporter

Expense Reports• Submit within 30 days of incurring expenses.• Attach Original Receipts – No receipt, no reimbursement.
(Tape to 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper so they don’t get lost)• Attach mileage log to the expense report
(Cannot submit just a mileage log, must have the expense report).• Mileage is currently reimbursed at .20 per mile• Don’t scan or fax expense reports to the District Office. Can only process Original Copies.• Cannot send expense report directly to the National Office. Must be approved by the
District Office first.
