At OC Connections we understand and value the benefits that employment offers participants.
We offer a range of employment opportunities including supported working environments, open workforce support & placement or placement in our own community-based enterprises.
It’s all about you
We individualise our employment services to meet specific needs and aspirations. We start by discussing a participant’s career goals and creating an Individual Employment Plan to track their progress.
We work hard to find the right employment fit for participants and to offer training opportunities along the way.
OC Connections Enterprises
OC Connections provides supported employment of participants at OCC Enterprises, formerly Oakleigh Centre Industries (OCI).
The service is an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) that employs over 100 adults within the competitive packing industry.
Participants work in a supported environment where they can build confidence, learn new skills and meet new friends. OCC Enterprises operates in a variety of training and support settings that maximise each participant’s potential and choices.
Supported participants benefit from work that is meaningful, varied and challenging. Supported employment provides the opportunity to build skills and aims to assist participants transition to community based and open employment options.
Work Trials
Potential participants complete a one day trial that is part of the recruitment process. During the trial, participants have the opportunity to try different tasks, get to know the other employees and better understand their goals and interests. Following the trial a decision about ongoing employment is made.
Training Objectives
Training is provided at the participant’s skill level and is tailored to an individual’s abilities. Participant’s progress is assessed a minimum of once per year and this assessment indicates achievements, strengths and opportunities for additional training.
Work Experience
Our work experience program is open to students referred through TAFE, Special Development Schools, other agencies including Disability Employment Services and family members.
The program introduces students to a structured workday, teaches them about work ethic and social interaction and gives a taste of working within a supported environment.
Supported employment in the community
OC Connections places participants in the community through supported employment initiatives.The organisation is also contracted to provide administrative support services in the community. One of these is the Department of Defence.
Participants have the opportunity to choose a range of office-based tasks such as filing, photocopying and general administration work.
Car washing
As part of its innovative community-based employment options, OC Connections offers mobile car wash services to businesses and the wider community. Participants can experience working outdoors and a changing working environment.

How we helpOC Connections Enterprises (OCCE) is the employment division of OC Connections (formerly the Oakleigh Centre)one of Victoria’s oldest and most respected providers of disability services. OCCE is a not-for-profit Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE), which employs over 100 people with a range of disabilities.
Administration Services we offer
Photocopying and ScanningOur OCCE administration team provides high quality black and white or colour copies of your important documents. We print enlargements up to A3 or crop to smaller sizes. Our copiers can scan high resolution digital files of your important hard copy documents to be stored on your server, online or on external memory devices. We professionally handle sensitive and confidential documents whilst maintaining privacy of records, reducing physical storage issues and enhancing disaster recovery and data retrieval.
Mail outs (Large and small)
Our administration team will coordinate the preparation and mailing of your personalised promotional material or documents. We offer an end-to end solution including database mail merge, sorting, collating and inserting into envelopes, labeling and postage.
Letter DropOur team will manage the distribution of your promotional material to residential letter boxes across Melbourne with our reliable and efficient delivery service.
Shredding
We specialise in on-site shredding services. Our team will remove staples, clips and plastic, prepare for shredding and dispose of your confidential documents efficiently and responsibly.
Sorting, Folding, Collating and Filing
The OCCE team will hand sort, fold and prepare your documents, pamphlets, handouts, and promotionalpacks into a predetermined sequence ready for distribution or filing. Using appropriate naming conventions and version control we can ensure your files are stored safely and easy to find when needed.
Printing and LaminatingMake a good impression with our laser printing and laminating service. We prepare and print on a variety of paper stocks and sizes up to A3. Our team will take care of all your general print jobs, large and small documents posters, certificates and marketing material.
Hole Punching Binding and Stapling
We’ll organise your paperwork into folders with our hole punching, binding and stapling services taking the stress out of managing your files.
Mail room supportOur team will manage all your outgoing and incoming mail to ensure a smooth and continuous flow of your mail. We sort, collate, label, pack and post or distribute as needed.

Packing Services we offer
Our team will pack your product to your specification and deliver a high quality product to an agreed delivery date through the use of quality procedures, error-proofing techniques and excellent supervision.

Blister & Ultra Sonic WeldingOur packing facility has a number of Blister Packing machines and Ultra Sonic Welding machines that can cater for small production runs up to high volume production runs. We pack small products such as light, plastic components or heavier products like gas kits. The products can be labelled and packed in cartons ready for wholesale or retail use.
Skin Our packing facility has a number of MPI & Hannan skin packing machines and cutting machines that can cater for small production runs up to high volume production runs. We use both a soft and hard film with thickness varying from 100 micron to 400 micron.
ShrinkOur packing facility has a variety of shrink wrap machines including hood, semi- automatic conveyor and automatic conveyor machines. Our shrink film comes in seven different widths and three different thicknesses. The maximum width capability of our machines is 540mm.
Our team can work with you to develop the packing required for your product and advise on the best solution for your product and budget. We shrink a variety of consumer goods ranging from DVD’s to bottles & cans to gift packs. We use 15, 19 & 25 micron shrink film to correctly determine the appropriate film for your product. Initial samples can be provided to ensure acuracy.
Maintenance Test & TagOur qualified staff can ensure all your electrical components are certified and compliant to the Australian Standards.
