My Walk with Jesus

Dear Jesus, You were once

a little boy who liked to play.

Draw a picture of a game or toy you like.

Please be my friend and stay with me each and every day.

This Lent I want to grow in faith and love for You,

So here is something good I’m trying hard to do.

~ Draw a picture of something you are doing for Lent. ~

I think of all You gave for us so often through the day

And every day I try to find some time when I can pray.

I go to Mass and tell You how I want to grow in love.

I know You hear me since You’re not far up above

Draw Jesus hanging on the cross.

But in my heart and in our church and on the altar there

Draw your priest standing at the altar.

And when I speak or think of You, You hear my every prayer.

Color in the beads as you pray a decade of the rosary with your family.

As every day I think of how You died—and died for me,

I pray You’ll help me grow to be all You want me to be.
