My Underwater

Adventure at AQWA

This Friday night, I will be going to AQWA for an underwater adventure. AQWA is an

aquarium where people can go to see lots of sea animals and marine life

When I arrive at AQWA I will see the entrance.

We will line up at the top of the steps and show my ticket to the person at the front desk.

They will then let me in

I will get a map of the aquarium so I can see where the different sea creatures are

There will be different activities to do when I am at AQWA if I want to. Or I can just look

around at the Aquarium.

When I walk around the Aquarium there will be lots of fish, sea creatures and coral for me

to see

Most of the animals will be behind glass but I will still be able to see lots. It is important not

to bang on the glass because it will scare the animals.

I can try to remember not to bang on the glass.

The aquarium can be quite dark so that we can see the fish better, so it is important that I

stay with my family or friends who I came with

There is an Underwater Tunnel that I can walk through and the fish will swim over my head.

There will be sharks and stingrays but I will be safe because they are behind glass

There will be staff who can answer questions about the fish and animals.

The touch pool is where I can touch some of the animals if I want to.

I will try and remember that there are lots of people around me and that I will need to wait

and take turns

If an animal lives underwater it can only breath underwater so it is very important not to lift

the animal out of the water. I can try to be gentle when I touch the animals

wait

While I am at the aquarium I can have some food in the café

If I need a break I can tell staff and we can go to a quiet room where I can stay until I am

ready

When it is time to leave I walk out through the gift shop and I will get a gift to take home.

If I try to follow the rules, this will help me and everyone else to have a safe and fun time.
