    Biomedical science is health care/research based science and its practicalapplication. The course is designed to incorporate the study of life processesin relation to health and identifying disease and its causes, investigate andmonitor pathological processes and treatment strategies. Subjects coveredare broadly similar to the pre-clinical components of a medical degree,provide a focused experience of the structure, functioning and analysis ofbiological uids, cells, tissues and the relationship of body systems in health,disease, and the environment. With the growing demand for biomedicalexpertise, our graduates will be embark on a career paths such as trainee

    Health Care Scientists/Biomedical Scientists, Clinical Scientist, Researcherand within other scientic laboratories. This degree is accredited by the IBMS(Institute of Biomedical Science).

At theend of 6 years, graduates will have two qualications and in addition willneed to undertake the licensing examinations to enable them to practicemedicine in whichever country they choose e.g. for the USA graduates willneed to take the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) for whichUHSA graduates have a success rate of over 90%, to practice in the UKgraduates would need to take the PLAB, the licensing exams of the GeneralMedical Council of the UK.

    LocationLondon is amazing. It is a truly24-hour city, full of history,with an incredible choice ofentertainment.

    London is the largest city in Europe. It has more

    international visitors per year than any other

    capital city, and is one of the nancial centres

    of the world. Brimming with history, London

    offers students an unrivalled choice of culture,

    nightlife and entertainment. London Mets

    buildings are dotted around London but we

    have two principle campuses.

    City Campus

    Our City campus has a prime location in the

    heart of the City of London and the vibrant

    Aldgate area of east London. Artists and

    professionals rub shoulders in this unique

    and exciting part of the capital.

    North Campus

    Our North London campus in Islington sitswithin a multicultural community, full of lively

    bars, beautiful parks and independent shops.
