MY TARGET AUDIENCE PROFILE

WHO WILL I TARGET?

The age group I aim to target is 16-25 year olds, both male and female, after conducting

research via a questionnaire. My music video surrounds the issues of depression and bullying

and these are commonly experienced by people of this age, meaning my audience could then

relate to the video. A lot of people within this age bracket may also be unaware of the severity

of these issues, and my aim is for the video to raise awareness and inform people of the affects

and give them more knowledge surrounding the area. A lot of these young people also liked a

narrative within music videos which I aim to provide and also have a fondness to the genre of

music which I am using.

This individual is a very quiet person who doesn’t have a great amount of confidence.

They often stay inside and participate in activities such as reading and writing, along

with watching television and gaming. Socialising is a feature which they find difficult,

with making friends and expressing themselves seemingly becoming difficult due to

their low self confidence. They associate themselves with the group of townies and

they fit within the mainstream bracket of society, but again their social life is poor. I

expect them to like slow music, possibly indie or singer/songwriter.
