My Summer 2k18 picks Hi guys! So I thought i would post just a few items that I’ve stumbled across on the internet. I wanted to post this so you get a feel of my style and just typical stuff I’d wear during summer. It’s summer where I live (South Africa) but you can always refer back to this later when its summer if you live in the northern hemisphere. okay then that’s all i have to say so let’s get into it!

Dresses I’m usually never one to wear dresses but they always comes that one occasion where you need to wear. one For me it’s always been luncheons where you’re required to come dressed in one. So at some point, I caved and just started buying them and I haven’t looked back

since. And plus they are easy to wear for lazy girls out there.

Mustard Off The Shoulder Dress

I may be a bit late to this trend but I’m really for yellow right now. It seems to bring out my complexion. Actually with that being said it seems to do the things to a black

women’s complexion and I’m here for it. What i also love about this dress is how it just flows. It isn’t figure-hugging at all. Although you’d have to be careful if you live in

a windy city such as Cape Town.

Fit and Flare Floral Dress

Every summer, according to me, needs a few floral items. Red is one of my favourite colours to wear. It pops out when you’re wearing it and demands attention. This dress just a simple necessity in your closet. ‘nuff said.

Embroided off the shoulder dress

I don’t have the link to this item but I do know it’s from the Topshop website. So this dress is quite plain but i like how the embroidery as well the tie on the sleeves adds some character to the dress. Personally I find it easier to wear a plain dress so i can add some colourful accessories like a beaded African necklace but also a few gold chains. I would just wear colourful shoes and carry a colourful bag. You can go buck wild with this outfit.

Tops I’d like to consider myself the top kween(If that is such a thing). I always have a wear a cute top or, according to me, my outfit isn’t complete. I also think it’s important to invest in good quality tops because they just never go out of style and are a basic necessity

Printed fish top

The colours on this top just scream summer to me. I like the graphics on the top and the colours complement one another so well. Unfortunately I found this on the American Zara website since there isn’t an Southern African one but you can definitely find something similar

Polka dot blouse

I like how airy this blouse is. We all know that you defiantly work up a sweat during the summer and it sucks to have all that sweat and heat trapped. This may be

Lace peplum top

I thought that i would like this top in a different colour but I decided that lace always look sexy and sophisticated in black or white. I don’t have much to say about this top except that it’s right up my alley. It’s a cute top and can be easily styled with jeans or denim shorts and any shoes of your choice

Shoes So normally I just wear a pair of comfortable sneakers with every single but I decided to stop being predictable and just step outside my comfort zone and purchases shoes I normally wouldn’t even take a glance at. So the shoes that I picked below, I have bought similar styles to them.

Slide on sandals

I’m really into the olive green paired with the tan brown of these. I’m not really for one for showing my toes but I will compromise for these although I’ve been recently wearing more slip-on sandals. They’re just easy to do anything in :)

Ballet shoes

So I won’t lie it’s not the easiest task to find and buy a good pair of ballet shoes but trust me when you find them, it’ll all be worth it.The peachy pink colour of the

shoes is really in right now and honestly I’m loving it. I’m also loving ballet shoes because they just look so delicate , cute and honestly(who am I kidding) they’re

just easy to slip on and leave the house.

Nike Huarache

I’ve been wanting these for a while now but I just haven’t found the right pair yet and my search won’t end anytime soon. I am a fan of the pink and white together. It’s a very weird shoe to style but would be interesting to see how people play around with it. I am a real sneaker head so it honestly hard for me not include a pair of sneakers in this post.
