MY ROLE MODEL WHO IS ALIVE To me, a role model is someone in my life that has influenced me in a positive way. They help shape the way I am in the present and what I will be in the future. They are someone that I can look to for advice in a hard situation and know that they will give me words of wisdom. They will never judge me on my past but only look to help because they really do care about me. There are so many people in my life that have influenced me but there is only one that I can say is truly a role model and that is my uncle. I look up to him because he is a person of great character and integrity. He has shaped me into the person I am today by teaching me about respect and responsibility and that anything worth having takes a lot of hard work. He has taught me that not everyone will like me but, depending on how I treat them, they will respect me. The best thing he has done is keep me out of trouble. He always does what he promises. If he says something, it will be. My uncle is also the only person who truly believes I can do whatever I want. He has done everything within his power to help me achieve my goals. I know I can rely on him. I can always count on him to be honest and to give me the best advice. He is my hero because he is everything that I want to be when I’m his age. He is the one whose opinion can change the way I look at something. There is no way I can repay him for all he’s done. I’m not saying he’s perfect, but I wouldn’t change anything about him.
