• Program Objective 3: Increased agriculture based household production of targeted families through building technical and management capacity of the community.

• 3.1 Increase percentage of families in Plan rural communities with increased command over food as a result of improvement in the productivity of their farm enterprise from 32.02% to 55%.

Vocational Skills Development in Plan-CSP:

•Program Objective 2: Increase opportunities for unskilled adolescents and women to learn livelihood skills aligned with employment opportunities

•Increase percentage of adult family members in Plan communities who have completed skill development training and get jobs on that skill for 0.54% to 15%.

•Increase percentage of families in Plan communities with at-least one member’s works round the year from 76.79% to 80%.

Plumbing & Pipe Fitting vi. Car Driving; and vii. Refrigeration & Air condition)(2 shifts per day, each shift 20 students- Boys & Girls)

3. Dairy Project: Milk Production as a means to Livelihood Security of the Poor

Objective of the Dairy Project:

To increase incomes and more sustainable livelihoods of the targeted landless and smallholding households through providing support for producing milk from Profitable cows using good farming practice and grazing land management in northern part of Bangladesh.

A. Jaldhaka UZ of Nilphamari district (JLD PU):

Cluster-1: Mirgonj UP (7 Villages); Cluster–2: Koimari UP (9 Villages) & Pauroshova (9 Wards)

B. Hatibandha UZ of Lalmonirhat district (HTB PU):

Cluster– 1: Borokhata UP (3 Villages)

Cluster– 2: Gotamari UP (3 Villages)

Farming types•Type-I (one cow farm): Poor household farmers who has little own land to graze the cow but has a homestead to make shed for the cow

•Type-II (two to three cows farm): Entrepreneurial poor household who has less then 50 decimal own land where they can grow small grain crops and grass for cattle

•Goat Farm: Extreme Poor Household who are interested to rear Goat for the both milk and meat production.

Program Objective 4: Increase income earning opportunities by promoting community based small and micro enterprises that potentially could create wage labour in the labour market.

Program Statement & Objectives:

Program Statement: Facilitate youth in realizing their potentials by exploring

employment and income opportunities through appropriate skills and services to improve standard of living

Program Objectives:•To transfer market driven technical know-how for enhancing entrepreneurial ability and employability of the youth

•To increase accessibility on available resources and advanced technologies

•To explore policy advocacy at local and national level for youth development policy implication

Alignment with the CSP & CCCDA:

• All the descried program component meets the CSP/CPO Objectives and directly contributing to achieve the FES program Goal-- “All children, especially from poor families, have improved lives and livelihoods, through demand driven micro-finance and other livelihood services and institutions”

•The program components are fully aligned with CCCD approach, emphasizes meaningful participation for children and other populations that have been subject to social, political and economic exclusion. Special emphasis is placed on all the program strategies that have impact for as many children as possible and included segments of the population those are marginalized; especially poor youth and women.

Alignment with Child Rights, Child Protection & RBA:

•Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment (Universal Declaration of Human Rights)

All the program components of FES are emphasized on wellbeing of the Children and their Families without undermining the Rights Based issues; moreover strongly committed to promote Child Rights and Child Protection by educating the Partners, Employers, Service providers and other Stakeholders.
