Date: 12/5/15

Course: Visual Media

Instructor: Brother Jason Stucki

Description:A two sided (duplex) folding brochure.

Process: I started my project in Adobe In design. I set margins and guides to know where to fold my project. I searched for images about home security. I create one image of the house and added more images and objects in Illustrator. I crop the image of the family in Adobe Photoshop, and wrap it with the text.I created some images with the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator, and I placed them at the back of the brochure. After I was done creating the images and clip arts, I started designing the brochure. I decided to place the image of the house in the front to make the sign stand out and I place my logo inside the sign. I created some red boxes to contrast the headings.

Description: Black and white promotional flyer to encourage graduates to assist at the conference.

Process: First, I design 4 sketches. After thinking which one was the best, I use Adobe InDesign to create my flier. I used different size of rectangles to organize the information. To contrast the title, I chose to put a black rectangle with white letters. I added dots in the design to have enhance the design. This helped me to have repetition. I aligned the rectangles with the picture and logo.

Description: This is a colorful flier for a benefit event.

Process: I started looking for the perfect picture on a magazine, then I scanned the picture in a HPscanner. I created some sketches, after I choose the best, I started designing in Microsoft Word. I wanted the focal point to be the image. That is why I center the picture in the entire page. I added some square and rectangular shapes to add contrast and repetition. I aligned all the text to the right side to create an easy visual flow. I really enjoy working on this project because of the quality of the image, even thought is a scanned image, it looks so great.

Description: 3 Logos for a company.

Process: I chose a Mexican company that sells this Mexican desert that is similar to ice pops; they come in a wrapped plastic bag. I had to think first in the name of the company , and how to transmits its name in a drawing. The word “Choquita” means a women from Tabasco, Mexico, so I decided to use things that represented that land. For example, jicara- coconut shell- I start sketching some drafts, and I started drawing in Adobe Illustrator with the pen tool. I created 3 completely different logos with different color scheme. The first one, was a Mexican women, the second and third, I use a big font that I needed to change their outlines, so I could edited each letter. After voting for the best, I chose this logo because it looks more professional that the others. I did one in black and white and one with a color background with white letters.
