2 Tim 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

If you cannot find the authority in the Scriptures, it’s not a

good work no matter how good it looks to us.

Should the Church Help Non-Christians?

Acts 2:44-45 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Context shows “every man” here is those among the Christians.

Funding Social Activities

• This issue is not whether someone can eat or drink in the building

• The issue is: Is there authority for the church to plan and fund social activities?

Funding Social Activities Defended

• Love Feast• 2 Pet 2:13 and will receive the wages of unrighteousness,

as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you,

• No indication they are “church activities”

• Both passages are describing false teachers and not the “love feast”
