The BIG Interview

Do you make pancakes?I do make pancakes. What do you want to know about my pancakes?

How do you make them?I make them without cows’ milk, with almond milk and lots of eggs, and I fry them and I flip them and I add chocolate, bananas and strawberries, and sugar on top!

Oh, wow, they sound delicious… Do you like turnips?I love crunchy turnips! And my favourite turnips are pink turnips from Syria where Sham is from.

What’s your favourite subject?When I was little, or now?

Er, probably both.When I was little it was English, and now it is English.

So really it never changed?Naah!

Do you like fluffy cats?I adore fluffy cats. Nano-cats are not real!

What is your favourite joke?Ooh, I can’t tell, because my favourite jokes are a bit rude and they’re not suitable for school… So I can’t tell them!

What do you do at the weekend?I go swimming, and I meet my friends, and I go to museums. I love going to museums, especially the ones that are free!

Oh I love going to the dinosaur museums to see the ancient fossils.I know! That’s a good choice for spending a weekend.

One time I went to a museum my mum said I didn’t even look at any of the fossils. I remember walking in and looking at a stegosaurus fossil, and leaving I saw a ginormous sloth one, it was like ten feet tall!They used to be massive, sloths, and a bit faster than they now.

When is your birthday?29th of January. Quite soon.

Ms ShaplandWho is your favourite author?I love Terry Pratchett. I love stories about wizards and dragons and witches and fantasy. And I love stories that are funny!

Who is your favourite scientist?Marie Curie! Because she was a woman and because she was a ladyboss and because everyone listened to her and she was amazing and her daughters were amazing as well!

Is it also because she was from Poland?That is a very good point!

Do you miss Poland?I love living in Oxford, but I do get homesick

because I do miss my food and I do miss my family, but my friends are in Oxford.

What’s the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?I, in a primary school, poured cold water on my math’s teacher’s neck. She was not impressed and I was in detention. And I deserved that!

You were naughty!I was naughty.

Can you do a cartwheel?No I don’t do cartwheels, I can’t do roly-polys, I’m very uncoordinated, I wish I could do a cartwheel.

Why do you like teaching?Because you are fun! Young people are fun and school is a lovely place to be and you’re the most interesting people to teach and I love seeing you grow and develop new skills.

Have you ever had a mental breakdown?What! What is a mental breakdown?

I actually have no idea. [Ms Salido] That was a question in

your interview last year from Josie and Gio… they wrote some of the questions last year.

Well, maybe we can ask Josie what she meant. Now because she’s my daughter’s best friend

Josie’s at my house almost every weekend, so maybe she’s seen me shouting at my girls ‘Come

on! Get your swimming costumes!’. Maybe she thought that was a mental breakdown, when a mummy shouts at her girls.

Well, thank you for having an interview.Thank you very much. I feel now I have to bring

pancakes for Hawthorne on Pancake Day. With pancakes, chocolate and extra sugar!

Sofia, was sulky! She wasn’t really, she just loved the attention. Whenever Sofia’s parents asked her to do

something she would just sulk. “Sofia, could you tidy your room now?” “whaaaaaaa!” Sofia would say. One day Sofia was plotting an evil plan. Maybe if she sulked so much her parents would give her

her dream. She ran down stairs. “Whaaaaaaaaa!” she cried. Her parents couldn’t bear it, they looked up from their books, but then they saw, the water from the girls eyes were rising, the room was flooded. The parents swam to another room and shut the door. But Sofia couldn’t, she had sulked whenever she got near water. She drowned!

No-one ever noticed Izzie. Most children would be sad if no-one noticed them, but not Izzie. Izzie took her invisibility as an advantage. She would sneak

up on children at her school, and scare them out of their skin. Izzie loved doing this but she wanted to be something more, maybe… maybe a super villain like Captain Hook, so she started plotting her evil plan. Izzie was brilliant at making inventions so she went to the science lab. She built an invention to destroy the world! She switched the switch then bam! she was destroyed by a giant explosion that wiped out the whole school! So just remember never go and try to destroy the world!

Meixin loved mayhem! It was her favourite hobby. She would plot a plan each night. One day she thought of a truly evil plan. She went into her mom’s

bedroom and tied super-fast roller skates to the bottom of her slippers. When mom got up she slipped into her slippers and rolled down stairs, but the super-powered roller skates were too fast. Meixin was right in her tracks. She rolled over Meixin. Meixin was flattened!

Berry and the magical fairyby Meixin | Year 3 RowanOnce upon a time there was a girl called Berry. She loved magical fairies but she could never be one. One day when she went to school she saw bullies and the bullies said to one of her friends, “Why do you wear blue.”

She said because I like wearing blue though. But Berry felt a little bit suspicious about her because she always wore pink and purple. So she went to her best friend and asked why are you wearing blue instead of pink and she said, “Berry umm….Because….because I didn’t know what the colour blue is and I like it!”

But she didn’t know she was a Princess Fairy of the other fairies and mostly the fairies love blue so her friend loved blue. One day when she was sleeping a fairy came and gave her a note about why her friend

was wearing blue! The secret was about to be known! The next day Berry screamed and said “A fairy went in my room, she came!!!”

Her friend came and said “I am a Princess Fairy!”. Berry said can I be one? Yes said her friend! So she turned her friend into a fairy and lived happily ever after!

Brexit is about the UK leaving a club of countries called the EU. One night Theresa May suffered because more people disagreed to leave Europe but another night more people agreed to leave. So we are leaving Europe on the 29 March.

If we didn’t leave Europe Theresa May would have got sacked. The prices of the flights will stay the same and people who didn’t vote would have made us leave. Not all people are happy with leaving the European Union, I am not happy either.

You may think the world’s worst children 1, 2 and 3 were truly terrible but they are nothing compared to these three!

Roblox! by Charlotte | Year 6 Willow

I know that most people have been taken over by Fortnite recently. Call me crazy but I still prefer Roblox over such a game.

For those of you who don’t what Roblox is, here is a simple guide:

Firstly, when you first join you will look like this;

On Roblox you can play loads of games there are 3 main types of games: Tycoons, Obbies and Roleplay.

Obbies! An obby is when you have an obstacle course like this:

Sometimes when you play Obbies it gives you badges. Usually at the winner level there are special surprises!

Tycoons! A tycoon is where you start off with no money and an empty piece of land with one machine. You then make money by using the machines and use that money to buy more machines or items. They can go from this:

Roleplay! Roleplay is when you do things like in real life. This consist of playing in a theme park or learning and hanging out at Roblox High School. These types of games are usually the best

ones to hangout with your Robloxian friends on.

The Stone Age

by Emily | Year 3 Rowan The Stone Age was about 50,000 years ago. In the Stone Age people had to make their tools and catch their food, so they could live in peace. But they had to move and follow the food because if they stayed in one place the food would run out.

They lived in caves that is why they are sometimes called cave men or woman. Their main tool was flint. They used it to make spears and arrows. They also made pottery out of their homemade clay.To this
