My Goals is a simple planning and task management tool to help you keep on track of your life and learning goals.You can create a Goal that you want to achieve, for example ‘learn money skills’ and you can put it into the Category of ‘Independence’. Once you have created your Goal, you can then break it down into bite-size Tasks and assign those Tasks to people in your Circle. Users can then be kept up to date with Goal progress.You can add or link media posts or post updates to Goal Tasks to build a record of achievement around Goal progress.You can view your Goal as a simple Task list or as an interactive Timeline

The My Goals dashboard gives you an overview of all of your own Goals and overall progress, as well as other users Goals that you are involved in or manage.Goals are displayed in Category lists such as Health, Independence and Learning etc..A progress bar displays the progress of your Tasks completed in the Goal.The filter feature allows you to view your own Goals or Shared Goals of specific users.You can also Toggle between Goal view and Task view. Task view displays all your Tasks from all your Goals in one big list.

Click on the ‘New Goal’ icon to create a new Goal.
If you want to create a new Goal in a Category that is already showing then you can click the ‘Create new Goal’ link. The pop-up will open with the following options:
1. Enter the Goal name (required)2. You can add a description, add a
picture or audio description if you want to
3. Choose which Category the Goal is in if it isn’t already selected.

Now you have created your Goal you need to create some Tasks as steps towards achieving it. Try to break things down into bite-size chunks that can easily be achieved. You can create as many Tasks as you like in your Goal.
• Tasks can be assigned to different people in your Circle.
• Tasks can be given a start and end date
• Tasks can be signed off as Complete when finished.
• Goal members can keep in the loop about Goal and Task activity.

Completed Tasks are shown as green
Assign Task to user in your Circle (optional), This sends a request to the user.
Overdue Tasks are shown as red
Tasks in Progress are shown as yellow
Pending (future) Tasks are shown as white

To create a new Task open the Goal and either just type the Task name into the ‘Quickcreate Task’ area or use the Task Wizard to guide you through all the options of setting up a Task.TIP: You can add extra details to a Task after you have quick-created it.TIP: New Tasks will appear at the top of the page but can be dragged in specific order in edit mode (see Advanced Goals Guide)

You can just type in the Task name here and press ENTER (or click the ‘Go’ button) to quickly create new Tasks
You can use the Task wizard to guide you through creating a Task, assigning it to somebody in your Circle, adding the start and end date and other Task settings

You can click on ‘Edit Mode’ to show Task edit options on the Task list page. In edit mode, basic options allow you to:• Rename the Task, change the
description and picture (a picture is auto-generated from Task Comment media by default)
• Change the Task assignee• Change dates and notification settings• Mark a Task as Complete/In-complete• Delete a Task
NOTE: If you are not the Goal Admin you will not see all the edit options, only those for Tasks that you have created.

In the Goal click on the name of the Task or its picture to open the Task detail page. Here you can see summary information about that Task as well as comments and linked posts that relate to the Task. The basicediting options on this page are:
• Add and respond to comments/entries
• Sign Task off as complete/incomplete
• Edit Task details
• Print Task summary sheet

Edit Task details
You can link Posts you have made to a Goal Task from your Activity or Diary feed.
Simply click on the ‘link goal’ icon above the post and select the Goal and the Task you want to link to.
The linked Post will appear in the the Task Comments section on the Task detail page.

Click the ‘Show more’ icon above the Post to reveal the ‘Links to Goal’ icon
Click the icon to open the Link to Goal pop up and click the ‘Add’ button
Select the Goal you want to link to. (You can create a new Goal here also)
Select the Task/Tasks you want to link to. (You can create new Tasks here also)

The Goal Timeline view allows you to
see an overview of your Goal Tasks set
out over time. Here Tasks can be:
• Dragged on the timeline to change
start and end dates and to assign to
different members
• Re-sized to change Task duration
TIP: The Timeline will only show
scheduled Tasks (those with a start and
end date). Un-scheduled Tasks in the
Goal are shown at the bottom of the
Timeline and can be dragged onto the
Timeline to give them a start and end
date and assign them to somebody.

Goal members will receive system notifications as well as email notifications about Goal progress and Task requests. You are notified when:
• A Task is Completed in a Goal you have joined
• A Comment has been made in a Task
• A Post has been linked to a Task• A request is sent if a Task has been
assigned to you• A Task assignee has requested to
sign off a Task in your Goal

As the Goal Admin you can access and change Goal settings from the ‘Settings’ pop-up. To access Goal Settings click on ‘Edit Mode’ then click on the settings icon next to the Goal name. From here you can:
• Change the Goal Name
• Add/change the Description
• Add/change the audio description
• Add/change the Goal Picture (if you leave this it will take a picture from a Goal Task)
• Hide Tasks from other users (useful for Group Goals)
• Change the Goal Category
• Delete the Goal
NOTE: If the Goal has been created by somebody else and you are not Goal Admin then you will not be able to edit Goal Settings
TIP: Make sure you click ‘Save’ after making changes to Goal settings.
