My Finding Gathered By My Audience Feedback

When I asked my target audience for some feedback after they watch my opening sequence. I asked if they could identify what type of genre they thought my film would fall into. 100% of them were able to correctly identify my film as being a thriller; this was good because it meant that I had produced a convincing film.

I then moved on to ask them if they would purchase my film because I wanted to make sure that my film was good enough for people to spend their money on it. Out of the 4 people I asked 100% of them said they would go out and buy my film.

I then asked if there was anything that I had to improve and out of the 4 people that I asked they all said that I should of included some dialogue because it would of added that little bit extra to my opening because they felt it was lacking. Throughout this process I made sure that I asked them what they would rate my film out of 10 and the majority of them said that they would rate my film 8/9. This therefore means that my film would be a success if it was to be distributed as the negative feedback that I got given was if there was some dialogue, therefore if I was to produce another opening sequence I would know to make sure that I incorporated a little bit of speech.

When I asked them what attracted them to my opening, I got a variety of different responses. A few of them said that the music that I had made was a positive attribute because it did what it was meant to do and that was to create tension and suspense from the get go. Another person said the use of lighting because I made sure that it was very dark and they even picked up on how it made them feel and they said that it made them feel on edge, this was a good thing because it meant that what I intended on happening actually happened.

Overall the feedback that I was given was really good and effective because it really gave me a good insight into what they liked about my film and what I needed to improve. I got given some really good positive feedback and without this it would have meant that I was unable to know what they actually thought of my film.
