My dear Campus family, Happy Easter! Is it wrong to say Happy Easter during these difficult times? No—it is still a Happy Easter—no matter what is happening in the world around us! Celebrating what Christ has done for us is what Easter is all about! He conquered death and He is Risen! Risen Indeed! I have been wondering about what it was like for the women who first arrived at the empty tomb. Their profound grief, shocking fear, transformed to immeasurable joy! They were told to go quickly and share that Jesus had risen from the dead! The surprise of seeing Jesus face to face—worshipping at His feet! WOW Matthew 28:1-10 “Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you. So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” Just like these women, we have a mission to tell others that Jesus has Risen!! I pray that we will be moved with passion over the reality that Jesus died and rose again, and be willing to share this with the people in our world! As you gather with your children, let it be a time of celebrating the Risen Christ! To help you with this, I have attached puzzles, color pages, a craft and of course the Campus Kids Sermon notes. I would encourage you as a family to make a “Blessing List.” This is a list of EVERYTHING you are thankful for. Post it where the family can read it in the days and weeks ahead. Please know that I love you and am praying that this Easter will be a uniquely special celebration for all of us as we celebrate our Happy Easter! Thankful for His Blessings, Karon Cecy Children’s Director Campus Bible Church

My notes from the sermon and what I learned:

My prayer requests:

My Next Steps: 1. Ask an adult the meaning of the words you didn’t know. 2. Tell someone which worship song from today was your favorite! (Bonus: sing it to them!) 3. Choose one of the Bible verses from today and memorize it! 4. Talk to an adult about what you learned from the sermon and any questions you have. 5. Share what you learned with a friend!
