My ideal job would include interaction and contact with people to share ideas and opinions, and create a continuous flow of useful information, whilst continuing to discover the “tricks of the trade”.I am always on the lookout for the next opportunity to improve my professional skills, and am continually revamping my style whilst keeping my personal mark recognisable. I am quite interested in new medias and technology.

Personal interests

I enjoy reading, writing, listening to my music, observing and taking shots of the most irrelevant details: often by travelling and exploring new and different destinations.I also have a strong interest in other kinds of art that inspire my work, including:_ colour and b&w photography_ book illustration: for all ages including children_ comics: from the most traditional to the newest generations_ industrial design, planning, furnishing and materials’ technology_ digital art and 3DI would like to build up my own personal culture, going beyond everyday information communicated through traditional mass media and looking beyond the ordinary.

Awards

Prize Pro Carton Extra Market 2003 for the food packaging, in the category “Most innovative use of the board” with the project “Mukki”, the cow-milk-pack.

In 2004 I took my Degree in Graphic Design at I.S.I.A. (www.isiaurbino.it) that is a

special Italian Academy for Designers, known for his exclusivity and the limited access

of students. Since when I was a Design student, I have worked in design and technical

studios, to improve my professional knowledges, to face the real workflows and to learn

how to deal with clients. I am working as freelance Graphic Designer, with the same

passion and motivation like the first times, but now I am looking for a job to extend my

competences about Internet and new applications. I think my curiosity will take me far

and that will further develop my aim to discover more and more things...

The main hall of the library is characterized by this black and white floor, with tiles creating a ‘X’ shape. I took an immediate inspiration to design the logo: the ‘X’ represents a infinite-cross book, but even the meeting point for people and cultures.

Logo designed for cultural / recreative association.

It represents a Lusitan heart, shaped as two lettuce leaves. There is a popular legend on being “from Lisbon” that means also to be “alfacinha” (a small lettuce).

Joking on this, we had the idea to fuse Lisbon, its citiziens and the Latin worlds “Lactuga” (Lettuce) and “Criativa” (Creative); some words are emphasized like “Tuga” that is a common slang name for Portuguese people, and “Cria” which means “creates”.

Chocolate bars.

These packaging prototypes have been created on purpose for my final dissertation project, shown at ISIA (Urbino, Italy) on June 26th 2004, with the title “Fair Trade Design: synthesis of a design planning”

I realised this prototype for the “Packaging Design” exam at ISIA, and it has been awarded with the Pro Carton 2003 prize as the “Most innovative use of the board”
