Hi! My name is Ms. Jeanne Marie Thomas. I am SO excited to teach at Lindsey Elementary! Having the opportunity to teach at the school named after my friend of 30 years, Lois Lindsey, is a dream come true! I have one daughter, Emilie, who is a Head Trainer for McKinney North High School. Go Bulldogs! Emilie is married to Andrew Gifford and I love having a son-in-law! Coach Gifford and new husband live in the apartments near Lindsey, and I am so excited to have them so close! One look around our classroom and you will know that my favorite animal is cats! That’s why my students are known as Thomas’ Texas Tabbies! (A Tabby is a breed of cat!) T h e B a s i c s ! M y E x p e r i e n c e I began teaching for Allen ISD in 1987, at Reed Elementary. (Mrs. Lindsey taught on the same team!) I taught first and second grade at Reed until 2008, when I became part of the charter staff at Evans Elementary. I taught first grade for 6 years, and then had the rewarding opportunity to loop up to second grade with my students! What an wonderful experience! I loved second grade, but my first love will always be first grade and I was thrilled to join the Lindsey First Grade Team in 2015. I know this year will be the best year yet!
