Mustafa Asım Cula Secondary School is a state school situated in the central

residental part of Antalya province which is in the south of the Mediterranean coastline.

Antalya,Turkish Riviera is the most stunning part of Turkey’s Mediterrenean Coast.It has a backdrop of mountain scenery and the city is

set on high cliffs with many of its grandest hotels overlooking the seaon the outskirts of

the town.

The school is small consists of one building but very active with 29 teachers and 483 students . There is an ICT

room,Science lab,a library,Music room,Art room in school

Our school offers a compulsory state education curriculum including subjects such as Science, Mathematics, Turkish, English,ICT, Art, Music,Drama, Religion

and Morals and PE.

We have also optional lessons.We have one teacher per class.There are 25 or 30 students in each classes.All the students

should wear a uniform.The lessons start at 7 oclock in the morning till 12:40 in the afternoon. We have seven lessons,six breaks in a

day. One lesson is 40 minutes and we have ten minutes breaks.We have got a big playground,we can play

basketball,football,badminton or some outdoor activities. At school,there are classes consist of mixed ability students,the

students are together in different levels.The exams are changeable according to lessons.

Students have a diverse cultural and educational background due to an allocation of different nationalities,

ethnic minorities, different cultures in the area. We organised activities and special events to provide

students with a maximum of cultural knowledge . There are lots of activities for the students according to their abilities

after school.They have basketball,football,table tennis and badminton trainings,They can join folk dance groups or school choir.If they want, they can join English,Maths,Science,Social

Studies courses organised by school.

It has done a lot in order to integrate students with different backgrounds into education e.g. mentor arrangements, flexible training models,

cooperation with other schools, parents, enterprises and social partners.

30% of our students are from a disadvantaged socio-economic

background when compared with the average standard in the town centre.

We have a large number of SEN students who follow 'Individual Education Programme' in mixed

ability classes. The SEN students are actively included school life and put

into support groups where their special needs are catered for.

Families contribute actively to the running of the school by means of the Parents’ Association . It also has the support of the local authorities in the town hall and regular contact with the

social and cultural non-profit organizations

Our school has strong partnerships with neighbouring schools. We have taken

part in important championships on art and sports like chess,table tennis

activities held in our province.

Our folk dance group won folk dance championships several times in Turkey.

The ‘ECLIPSE’ project has crucial importance to raise motivation of teachers and pupils and allow

us to make a fresh start and raise our profile in the local community.

This is our ECLIPSE CREATIVITY CLUB

while studying and choosing the best logo for the project. The school has got Erasmus Creativity Club,if they want to work on

activities taken in ECLIPSE Project,they can easily join Project activities.In ECLIPSE Project,there are different kinds of groups.Some

students are studying for Hands in Science and Maths or some students prefer penpals groups.Some students prefer the activities

held for this meeting in Spain.

We hope to gain a better image among parents and want to be a school where parents and

pupils are happy to be.Developing a multicultural context for teachers and pupils through leading this ECLIPSE Project,we hope to reach this ideal

image.

Our school is an educational trust, aims to develop productive, creative and responsible

attitudes in individuals while working in national and international contexts, aiming to make

positive contributions to both the country and the world's future, and giving priority to scientific

thought defines MACSS (Mustafa Asım Cula Secondary School) as a foundation apart.
