Welcome to the 35th Annual Athens Invitational March-ing Festival! We are thrilled to have so many talented area bands performing in today’s show. Four groups including the Athens Band Boosters, the Kiwanis Club of Athens, the Downtown Kiwanis Club, and the Chauncey-Dover Lions Club sponsor our Invitational. Many individuals from these four organizations have worked tirelessly over the past several months to provide competing bands with an enjoy-able experience today. We especially want to thank Sue Carey and Cathy Cochran, the co-chairs of our Invitational committee for their work in organizing today’s event. The support of our band parents and community members has allowed our tradition of excellence in hosting this festival to continue throughout the years. In fact, the AthensInvitational Marching Festival is the fourth longest running festival in the state of Ohio! We wish the best of luck to all of the bands. May you have the best performance of the season thus far! To all the families, friends and other spectators, you are in store for a day of wonderful marching and music making. We hope you enjoy it! Sincerely, Sarah Labovitz and Brandon Lias Directors, Athens High School Band

Congratulations Athens Marching Band~The Fillmore Family~

For buying me that shiny new instrument, taking me to all those lessons, coming to all my concerts (even when I could barely play more than a squeak), encouraging me not to quit, taking me to practice, picking me up from practice, sitting in the blistering heat to watch me perform, hemming and wash-ing my uniform, selling Bandie Candie, cooking chili for 100, sitting in the rain to watch me perform, loading and unloading band equipment, working in the concession stand, sitting in the snow to watch me perform - al-ways with a smile on your face as I took the field - thanks Mom and Dad!

We couldn’t have done it without you!!
