Music Video Structure A detailed script into how I plan to set out my music video

00:00-00:27 Fade to begin the video This is the period in which the song is building up

pace, with no lyrics present at this point This is where I plan to introduce the setting of

the video Various shots of both characters, perhaps coming

home from school/work/ect May include outside shots, most likely purely

home shots Be sure to highlight differences between

characters attitudes instantly, quickly portraying ‘opposites’ theme

00:27-00:34Introducing scenes will continue,

however by this point, both characters will be at home and focused on activities

The girl will be beginning to prepare outfits, getting ready ect

The male character will be doing menial tasks, perhaps getting a drink, and walking upstairs.

Again, must be noted the clear divisions in attitudes of characters

00:34-1:42• The characters will be each getting on with their own

tasks• The male will be continuing with menial tasks such as

working on his laptop, or playing with video games• The female will however be trying on different outfits,

showing how much she cares▫ Highlights different attiudes

• Will be a variety of quick cuts and close ups of both characters. Both features are conventional of my genre, and will help to go with the pace of the music. Also help to show the differing attitudes once again (Key focus)

1:43-1:56 Female character is getting ready to

leave Male character still appears uncaring,

continuing to play on video games and relax. Not caring about the date at all

1:57-2:25Female has arrived at the park, where

she was supposed to have met the male character

No sign of him, she looks visibly upsetClose up of her watch as she checks itContinue of this fashion, drag out the

scene a bit, contrasting with quick nature of male counterpart

Long shots of her walking away to add effect

2:26-2:40

•Male character finally realises where he was supposed to be

•Looks at watch, medium close up of his wrist

•Gets up slowly, still appearing as though he doesn't care

•Grab a coat, still doesn’t really care•Shot of him walking out the door

2:40 onwards The male character arrives at the park,

girl has gone As opposed to waiting for the female, he

simply turns around shrugs and walks offVideo ends to him walking away, clearly

not caring Fade to end
