1950’s

Classic pop or Popular music dominated the first five decades of the 1950’s, then Big Band/ Swing took over after WWII.

Music made people feel relaxed or pumped up.

There are lots of different types of music. People like a variety of music such as rock

Music in the 1950’s were more slow and peaceful unlike the 1990’s and 20th century.

Causation: Why were People were into music? Because it was peaceful and soothing.

Connection: How does it connect to Pop Culture? It connects to Pop Culture because it is popular.

Perspective: Who’s perspective did the musician care about? The fans and the supporters.

1960’s

At the beginning of the 1960s, pop.

The rock and roll of the decade before started to merge into a more international, eclectic variant known as rock.

By the mid-1960s, rock and roll in its purest form was gradually overtaken by pop rock, beat, psychedelic rock, blues rock and folk rock, which had grown in popularity.

The country and folk-influenced style, associated with the latter-half of 1960s rock music spawned a generation of popular singer-songwriters who wrote and performed their own work.

Connection: What does it connect to? It connects to Pop Culture and music styles of the decade.

Perspective: Who’s perspective is it from? It is everyone’s perspective.

1970’s

In Europe, a variant known as Euro disco[1] rose in popularity towards the end of the 1970s. Rock music played an important part in the Western musical scene.

Other genres such as reggae were innovative throughout the decade and grew a significant following.

Hip hop emerged during this decade.

Causation: What caused it to be Popular and why? It was caused with events that changed the fan’s perspective.

Connection: What connections does it have to the musician? It connects to the music and the style of the music.

Perspective: How does the perspective of the musician effect the fans? The more enthusiastic the musician are the happier the fans.

1980’s

The 1980s saw the pop, dance music and New Wave. As the term disco fell out of fashion in the decade.

Rock music continued to enjoy a wide audience sub-genres such as New Wave.

Also during this decade, several major electronic genres were developed, including electro, techno and house becoming popular during the 1990s and later.

Causation: What caused the music to in Pop Culture? It was Popular and famous.

Connection: Who does this music connect to Pop culture? Everyone into music/pop culture.

Perspective: Who’s perspective matters most in Pop Culture? The fans and the musicians matter most in pop culture as they are the foundations of pop culture.

1990’s

In Korea, H.O.T was well known when they made debut in the late 1990’s.

Pinkol was another famous music band. H.O.T and Pinkol were loved by both male and female and little children loved the music of theirs.

Popular music in the 1990s, of teen pop and dance-pop trends which had emerged in the 1970s and 1980s. Hip hop grew and continued to be highly successful in the decade.

Causation: What caused the causation of Pop Culture? It was the movement of the fans and the time ages. As the decades pasted the style of music gradual changed.

Perspective: What perspectives do the singers have on Pop Culture? They have equal amounts of perspectives as anyone else has. But they are more looked into.
