KerrangI like the layout and style of the magazine, it allows the magazine to make each cover they print different from the last.

Kerrang is a rock magazine, and it isn’t laid on the left. It has cover lines overlapping with photos and other cover lines. This shows the magazine as rebellious, as it doesn't contain its self in the cover lines and overall lay out.

The cover photo overlaps with the kerrang logo, but kerrang is a big name, and recognisable and it also adds to the magazines overall style.

QQ isn’t busy or pact with cover lines and pictures. It is more sophisticated than e.g. kerrang! and NME, which is a more younger audience. Q is targeted at an older audience.

Q’s front covers are simple, but adds uniqueness to them. I like the photos they used; with the muse issue it has the lead smashing the logo, and the Prodigy issue has the floor cracking open. Each one adding to the artist image.

One cover is laid on the left, while the other isn’t, but Q is also a recognisable name along with kerrang.

Rolling stoneI like the different designs that Rolling stones use. The Jonas Brothers is simple in style. It portrays them not as young boys that younger readers would see them as, but adults, that take they music seriously.

The Green day issue has them dressed up. green day are known as being rebellious punks, so having them dressed up as if they about to start marching. They are not dressed in a uniform.

And the older edition which I personally like the best, as it is a 40s-50s movie design, but for my own music magazine I would properly find it hard to do it in the same style, but I can give it the feel of the 50s. It also doesn't have music theme as a front photo.

Rolling stone doesn’t just publish music articles, it also writes about politics, and popular culture.

Rolling stones is targeted at younger readers, as it has musicians such as the Jonas brothers, but it does have an older sophisticated feel to it with the subjects of some of the articles, but also the style. It isn’t busy and packed with cover lines and photos.

NMENME or New Musical Express is a weekly magazine

NME is pack with cover lines, similar to Kerrang, it looks big and bold. All of the magazines I have look at, have the colour red used on the cover. Red stands out against most colours as it is a primary colour.

I like these covers, I like the photo of muse, with the white article title, and cover lines on top of the photo
