In Rocksound the editor’s letter is normally quite light hearted and funny which in keeps with the informal tone of the magazine. It is also accompanied by a different picture each week which has some time to do with one of the features.

It comes from an article in the magazine and relates to the picture it’s next to. It hints at the tone of the article and entices the reader to find out the content of the piece. The use of colour highlights the important part of the quote and fits in with the colour scheme.

Puff

The puff is in the style of a speech bubble to separate the editor’s letter from the rest of the page.

The images correspond with the page numbers to give a taste of what the features will contain.
