1. DYNAMICS:Degrees of loudness

Forte (f) = loud Piano (p) = soft Fortissimo (ff) = very loud! Pianissimo (pp) = very soft mezzo (medium) = (mf) mezzo-forte,

(mp) mezzo-piano Dynamic markings = (<) crescendo,

(>) decrescendo
