MURSI AWAD MURSI TAHA

Mursi Taha was born in Romania, lived awhile in Sweden, Japan, Kingdom of Bahrain and Nigeria. He

graduated from the University of Khartoum- Faculty of Arts- Bachelor Honors Degree in French

Language and also holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies (Environmental Planning and Policy).

Mr. Taha works for Cofftea Trading Company Ltd, the largest Multinational Tea Trading Company in

Sudan, headquartered in Khartoum and with an Office in Mombasa, Kenya. The major activity of the

company is to import raw tea and coffee through its Kenya Office to Khartoum, Sudan. Both goods are

blended, packed and sold locally and to other part of Middle Eastern Markets and some European

countries.

Mr. Taha is also a youth expert at the Africa level. He is currently on board as a Steering Committee

Member of the African Youth Panel, Sudan Chapter Member of Africa 2.0, and Regional Coordinator for

Africa Speaks and a Special Advisor on African Issues to the Afro Arab Youth Council, which is based in

Sudan. Mr. Taha participated in several international conferences addressing youth issues, environmental

programs and as an Observer to a couple AU Heads of State summits.

The African Youth Panel (Sudan) partnered with the United Nations Volunteer Office in Khartoum to

collect votes for the My World Survey. Several votes were collected during the one month program and

AYP was endorsed by UNV Office and the Sudanese Youth Secretariat- National Congress Party since

then.

Mr. Taha loves travelling, interacting with other people and to work on youth related issues. He speaks

Arabic, English and French fluently. Taha is 29 years old, married with one daughther.
