1. Win Win Situation• Located at Muntri Street, Penang

• This sculpture was erected to commemorate Ngah Ibrahim, the Malay nobleman of Larut who was instrumental in tin mining in the 19th century.

• The tin merchants of Penang worked closely with Ngah Ibrahim as Larut District was one of the major supplier at that time.

Artist’s Background• Lefty is the co-founders of Gilamon

Studio • Lefty is an Art Director and Editor for

several publications in Malaysia and Singapore

• More than 10 years of experiences in the comics industry

• Jimi Germ had won an Intellectual Property Creators Challenge (IPCC) grant from MDeC (Multimedia Development Corporation - Malaysia)

EPC Concepts1.Intercultural Communication - Assimilation (Adjusted to bring harmony to the society)- Communication between Chinese and Malay to bring more

chances to work with each other for business purpose.

2.Verbal Communication- Chinese and Malay greet each other by saying “Hello” when

they meet

3.Face to Face Communication- They communicate through face to face channel which they

can see and touch each other on the spot they met.

other which indicated they enjoy the communication.

2.Retail Paradise• Located at Campbell Street.

• Campbell Street is Penang's Fifth Avenue, a retail paradise where shoppers can stroll along the row of shop houses and feast their eyes on an array of goods.

Artist’s Background• Reggie brings his own brand of humour to life

in everything from cartoons to billboards and even movies.

• With his inimitable wit, he has created unique Malaysian characters, each with a distinctive personality that's instantly recognizable.

• Reggie's cartoons appear in Malaysia's largest daily, The Star, as well as internationally.

EPC Concepts1. Verbal Communication - The owner said that he lost the keys of his shop house to

the policeman. 2. Non-verbal Communication- Body Posture- Policeman is standing steadily monitoring the owner with

his hand holding a rifle.

3. Critical Listening- Policeman is listening to the explanation given by the

owner to make judgement.

4. First Impression- The tall person is a policeman(based on his dress code)- The short person is a careless person (lost his keys)

5. Non-verbal Communication-Eye Contact- They look at each other indicate they are paying attention

and respect while communicating

3.Portrait • Located at Laman Seni 7, Shah Alam, Selangor.

• Painted in 2014.

• A painting of pop singer icon, Ramli Sarip with the usage of air conditioning compressor as his glasses.

• A simple and minimalist design was chosen because it is easier to leave an impact to the viewers.

• The artist also relates the painting with our life which is simple.

● The artist behind the ‘Portrait’ is Karupiah Studio (Rushdi Ahmad & Azizan Talkis).

● Portrait won 3rd place under ‘Painting on Site’ category in Laman Seni Seksyen 7.

Azizan Talkis :• Won 2nd prize in MRCB Art Award in 2009• Helding a solo exhibition in 2009 titled New

Man.

Rushdi Ahmad :• Produced an artwork titled Potret Mahathir.• Also produced artworks from various famous

icons like Mahatma Gandhi and Ramli Sarip.

2. Stereotype (Understanding something based on expectation and interpretations)- Rockers normally have long hairs and know how to play

guitar

4.Semantic Interference- Some indicate that red and white background are the stage’

s light but for some they think that it’s like a japan navy flag.

5. Non-verbal Communication-Body Movement and Posture- The singer is projecting the postures that he is ready for the

performance with his hand plucking the guitar and standing in front of the microphone.

4. Malaysia’s Paradise• This artwork presents the relaxation

and heavenfulliness of islands and beaches around Malaysia.

• Malaysia is a country that surrounded by beaches and coasts, it’s clear message given to the audience on how beautiful and gorgeous of nature in Malaysia.

• The back alley of Laman Seni 7 has these doors that are presentable as benches on the beaches.

time at the beach.

3.Proximity- Doors represent as the benches- Wall represents the beach- Nasi Lemak on the table
