GENERAL CONTRACTORS The Town of Carleton Place is planning to refurbish the interior of its historical log building (the Moore House), located across from the Town Hall. The purpose of this work is to create a museum/information center that will be dedicated to the memory of Officer Roy Brown, a famous World War Two pilot from Carleton Place who served in the Royal Air Force. The Town is seeking the services of a General Contractor who would be expected to supply the necessary materials for the project and complete and/or engage sub-contractors to complete the required work together with or on behalf of the Project Manager The architectural plans for this work describe in detail how the work is to be completed and involves (including but not limited to) carpentry, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, painting, flooring, and trimming. The successful contractor will work in concert with the Town’s Project Manager and will be remunerated on a “Time and Materials” basis. General contractors interested in applying for this position should do so by forwarding a letter outlining his/her relative experience, qualifications, expected hourly rate and providing work references.
