QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“If you can do what you do best
and be happy, you are further
along in life than most people.”
LEONARDO DICAPRIO
YEAR 3 / 4 HAPPENINGS
Year 3 / 4 have been learning all about capacity and
volume over the past couple of weeks. In the lead up
to Halloween we became witches and wizards and
made up some magic potions. The magic potions
had to be exactly 600 ml and contain six different
ingredients. Some of the ingredients the students
came up with were quite gruesome. Eyeballs, doggy
doo and frogs tails were just some
ingredients that went in to the
cauldron when creating some
interesting potions.

YEAR 6 FUNDRAISING
Congratulations to Mrs Walmsley who was the lucky winner of our Skittle Guessing Competition. There
were 1117 skittles in total and Mrs Walmsley used her powers of mathematical deduction, coming in
with an estimation of 1140 skittles... pretty close! Thank you to everyone who placed a guess and
supported the Year 6's in raising money for their graduation. We were able to raise an additional $100
with this competition to go towards food and decorations. I'd like to give a special mention to the
few Year 3, 4 and 5 students who willingly walked around the school during their lunch times to help
with the fundraiser. We could not have done it without you!

PRIMARY INTENSIVE SWIMMING
Did you know we have Mighty Manta rays, Dashing Dolphins, and Swift Sharks at our Swimming
lessons?
This week is the third week of swimming lessons taking place for infants and primary students. The
students have been allocated their swim team and enjoy learning to swim, having fun and keeping
cool. Students are growing confident week by week and everyone is enjoying the cool water in this
wicked heat.
Students are reminded that full swimwear and swim shirt are required as well as sunscreen and a hat.
Next week will see both Primary and
Infants attend swimming every
Wednesday to the end of term (Week
10). Year 3 / 6 will be having their
lunchtime upon returning from the pool
at 11:30 am.
Swimming Times:
Year 3 / 6: 10:30 am – 11:30 am
Year K / 2: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
