refugees, under the leadership of Langham
Scholar Hikmat Kashouh

Dear friend of Langham,
“If you want to really transform the whole culture, you need to
break into the roots.”
These words from Augustin, the director of a Langham-supported
publisher in Benin, strike at the heart of why Langham cultivates
locally led grassroots movements for the Gospel. As pastors
and theological leaders are equipped and resourced, they
can bring God’s transforming truth into the root issues facing
their communities.
It is with great joy that, in the following pages, I share with you
stories of transformation made possible by God’s grace and your
steadfast support of Langham. In 2019, your faithful prayers and
generosity helped train over 10,000 pastors, equip 78 theological
leaders, and distribute over 100,000 books to pastors, Bible colleges,
and seminaries.
As you read these stories, I pray that you are blessed and
encouraged in knowing your support has a multiplying impact on
the global church. Every pastor and leader equipped with deep
knowledge of God’s Word multiplies your investment in them many
times over through the transformations of their communities.
My gratitude for your faithful partnership overflows!
Celebrating transformation in Christ,
Benjamin K. Homan

Multiplying TransformationTHROUGH LANGHAM SCHOLARS
Transformation in Christ comes to the most vulnerable on the tough streets of Brazil’s Ana Rosa neighborhood—where Marcio (at right) spent his youth in a gang. Today, it’s where he shares Jesus with the most vulnerable. His studies at South American Theological Seminary, founded by Langham Scholar Antonio Barro, equipped him to plant a church and launch a ministry that reaches 300+ at-risk kids with hope in Christ. Marcio is just one of 3,000+ students who’ve graduated from the seminary and now bring transformation into communities around the world.

Together, with your help, we fund scholarships and shepherd emerging theological leaders through PhD programs, preparing them for a lifetime of multiplicative ministry as they go on to train others and shape nations.
Supported 73 current
PhD students from
41 nations. These
emerging leaders
receive the theological
education and scholar
care support needed to
equip them for a lifetime
of service as leaders.
LANGHAM SCHOLARS 2019 IMPACT AT A GLANCE
Celebrated the
graduation of 8 PhD
students, who are
now helping to equip
the church in their
nations, including Judy
Wang’ombe, pictured,
who has a vision to
reach Kenya’s unreached
Borana tribe.
3OO+ Langham
Scholars are now
serving around the
world, starting vital
new ministries, writing
critically needed books,
multiplying trained
pastors and Christian
leaders and growing the
church in their nations.
MULTIPLYING TRANSFORMATIONEach Langham Scholar will train roughly 7,733 more leaders—pastors, church planters, ministry
leaders—who will then go on to reach hundreds of thousands more in Christ.†

For Thailand’s Christians, who represent just 1% of the population, accepting Christ often means rejection from their primarily Buddhist communities. Through you, Langham supported publisher Kanok Bannasan is developing books and e-books that help believers follow Jesus within Thai culture. Publishing manager Tasanee (pictured) shares, “Your support impacts the life of the people. . . Pastors are eager for books. The books help the church to stand firm in our faith.”

Together, with your help, we support indigenous theological writing and publishing so that pastors and leaders have access to books in their own language and context as they serve the unique needs of their communities.
Supplied 17,697
books and biblical
resources to 773
seminary libraries across
84 countries, helping
emerging leaders
study and understand
God’s Word.
LANGHAM LITERATURE 2019 IMPACT AT A GLANCE
Distributed 35,817
books to ministry
partners, students and
pastors like Thuya in
Myanmar (pictured),
who says, “Books
help me share God with
my people.”
Supported 22
indigenous publishers,
like Augustin (pictured)
who leads African Bible
Press in Benin and
says, “We are impacting
many lives through the
books we publish.”
MULTIPLYING TRANSFORMATIONJust one book in a seminary library will be
used by 160+ students preparing to serve the church in their nations.†

Multiplying TransformationTHROUGH BIBLICAL PREACHING
Darius (pictured) is part of a Langham Preaching Club in Romania full of teens and young adults who meet regularly to study and practice teaching Scripture. What has caused God’s Word to capture and transform these young hearts in a country where the church has struggled to speak to younger generations? You! Your help equipped their pastor, Daniel, who now mentors these formerly uninvolved young believers. Now the group has exploded in size as more than 300 teens and young adults like Darius experience new life in Christ —and share it with others.

Together, with your help, we train indigenous pastors and lay leaders to faithfully study and teach God’s Word—shepherding their congregations with hope in Christ.
338 preaching
training seminars held
in 70 countries,
where local pastors and
leaders learn to study and
teach God’s Word. Langham-
trained pastor Lloyd in Kenya
says his preaching
has transformed, and so
has his life. “By living the
Word of God, my life has
been transformed.”

Langham Partnership is comprised of
six national partners (Australia, Canada,
Hong Kong, New Zealand, United
Kingdom & Ireland, and the USA), each
separately incorporated in its own
nation, with its own Board of Directors.
Though each partner maintains
separate financials, which are audited
annually, there is full global transparency
among all six partners. A global cloud
accounting system implementation
enables oversight, analysis and
consolidation of the financials of the
six members. This page offers the
better and fuller consolidated global
financial picture. Part of the fuller picture
includes Langham USA helping with the
fundraising and public communication
aspects of the other members. Thus,
the numbers shown for Langham USA
reflect the costs of helping our national
partners, but not the income generated
through that help. Not included in these
financials are significant additional
contributions from grassroots Langham
organizations that uphold our vision and
mission throughout the world.
The income and expense reported in
this annual report are based on cash
accounting whereas accrual accounting
methods are used to report income
in our audited statement and tax return;
hence some differences may exist
in comparison.
