When we count in groups, the groups must be equal or the same. Are these groups equal?

Learning intentions- For students to perform movement skills in a variety of sequences and situations. For students to incorporate elements of space, time, objects effort and people in creating and performing simple movement sequences. Skill focus – See attached Skill Card For The Gallop Suggested Activities- GETACTIVE@Home -Years K-2 Episode 3- Dancing https://app.education.nsw.gov.au/sport/Bodycontrol What students will need for this lesson Students will need their activity log book, a pencil and a water bottle (see below for activity log book) or download a copy at https://app.education.nsw.gov.au/sport/File/4316 Use your activity logbook to record your participation for each activity - You can practise each day and improve your fitness and dancing skills. Activity 1- Warm Up -Students warm up by mirroring the following actions in the video: 1.Stretch hands out wide like a starfish 2.Move like an octopus forwards 3.Move like a worm to the right 4.Kangaroo bounce backwards 5.Slide to the left Activity 2- Stretch/ Huff and Puff - Students stretch and begin huff and puff activities by mirroring the actions in the video: 1.Stand tall reaching hands to the sky, place palms together 2.Bend your body to the right and left like swaying trees in the breeze 3.Circle your arms then bend down into a squat like you are sitting in a chair 4.Place feet out wide and bend forwards to touch toes 5.Run on the spot 6.Side lunges circling arms backwards then forwards 7.Gallop to the right and squat down then to the left (see skill card below for The Gallop) Activity 3-Movement Skills - Students perform a movement skill to match each of the ingredients used when cooking an omelette: 1.Eggs- marching on the spot, hands in then out 2.Cheese- swivel heels from side to side, wave hands in the air 3.Sauce- 3 heel taps and1 clap 4.Tomato- 3 heel taps and 1 clap turning around in a circle 5.Spinach-lunge side to side bending forwards to scoop up the spinach then throw it in the bowl Activity 4- Movement Skills -The Breakfast Club Game- Students prepare the omelette by mirroring the dance action movements in the video using different speeds (slow, regular, fast). Record your results on your activity logbook. Activity 5- Movement Challenge- Students match a movement skills to the action words chop, slice, dice whisk and grate. Students include these actions in their omelette dance. Record your results in your activity logbook. Activity 6- Movement Mega Challenge Game- Students perform action movements for cooking an omelette at different speeds. (slow, regular pace and fast). When the word ‘cook’ it is called out students freeze like a starfish. Record your results in your activity logbook. Activity 7- Movement Creative Challenge- Students create and perform their own movement to match a new ingredient to add to their omelette. Record your results in your activity logbook. Teaching Cues- Parent or family member can use the following teaching cues to support student. Whisk the eggs Grate the cheese Chop the tomatoes Gather the spinach Cool Down-Activity 7- Students cool their body down holding the ballet balance demonstrated by the famous Lisa Edwards for as long as the can. Try to balance on each leg. Discussion Questions- In what order do I perform each movement? What are the teaching cues for each movement? How does the music influence how I move?
