5.9 Availability of medical supplies
General Instruction This should be assessed at health facility level. Each type of health facility has a standard list of essential medicines with quantities required per month as defined by MoPH. Medical supplies are low-cost, disposable items (e.g. gloves, gauze, needles and syringes) that are essential for treating illness or injury. Depending on the assessment of medical supply stocks, select “adequate” or “basic” or “inadequate” or “none”.
Definitions Adequate: More than 90% of the medical supplies items included in the list of essential medicines are available on the day of the assessment and sufficient for at least one month. Basic: 70-90% of the medical supplies items included in the list of essential medicines are available in the day of assessment. Inadequate: Less than 70% of the medical supplies items listed in the list of essential medicines are available at the day of the assessment.
Observations Check the pharmacy or the place for storage for availability and quantities of different medicines.

KoBo Toolbox platform:
Developed by the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative in coordination with OCHA and IRC (based on ODK)
Set of tools for data collection (and analysis)
Offers both mobile data collection (Android device) and web-form interface for online data entry (using Enketo)
Aggregates collected data and enables the management, visualization, analysis and export of stored data
Deployment of the KoBo RAF Tool
− Managed by OCHA
− Induction of users, who will be trained and registered
3) The KoBo RAF Tool

Functionality of the KoBo form:
Uses an Android application called KoBo Collect
− Also works on iOS, but with limited functionality
Works offline (uploads when connectivity is re-established)
KoBo offers complex skip logic, but not used for the RAF
Comprises validation logic (gentle balance)
Includes hints for specific questions to guide users
Demonstration:
1) RAF form in KoBo Collect
2) Enketo web form (data entry for paper RAF forms)
3) KoBo Toolbox mapping application
4) Discussion on the planned roll-out
